Bloody hell! Lol.

Not sure about immune since being seven points clear they slipped up heh.

If they do end up finishing second you just have to hold your hands up, City were extra :syringe: :syringe: :syringe: this season.

Not true, Klopp and lolpool will be awarded with the ‘we got 90+ points and still somehow didn’t win the league’ trophy :joy::joy:

Imagine getting 95 + points which would be the 3rd most in history for EPL, losing only one game and not winning the title because someone goes on a 14 game winning run to end the season .

My Liverpool mates are having a bit of a bitch and moan this morning

What are they saying mate?

If they lose out to City hopefully Liverpool fans will look at this repeatedly and cry. A centimetre away from a league title and (probably) an invincible season.

And to think these cunts lost against spurs in the cl

The only solace in this clusterfuck that Arsenal has become in the last few games is that the scousers will feel even worse not winning a title with potentially 97 points. That is insane.

But nobody can berate Klopp for not winning it with that amount of points and one loss all season. It’s just a freak result.

Liverpool have been either the first or second best team in Europe this season. CL semi finals, racking up an incredible points tally in the domestic league whilst playing explosive, exciting football and with a robust defensive base. The whole package is there.

They’re still in a fantastic position to win both the league and European Cup.

Klopp has done incredibly well and deserves plaudits but ultimately, if they win nothing, nobody will remember shit about this season in 10 years time. Klopp has spent a few years building this team and success is measured by trophies. If he doesn’t win anything, then all the progress they have made will ultimately have resulted in zero tangible reward. It’s unfortunate that they are competing against City for the title, but irrespective, if they finish second then it is failure. The objective of this team was to win the league and/or CL. If they don’t hit that target then it’s failure. Just as our own target is CL football. Each team’s success is measured in relative terms.

Liverpool’s target is to win trophies and it’s a failure if they don’t achieve that, albeit a failure that Klopp shouldn’t be castigated / criticised for. Liverpool fans will be delighted with their season even if they come out empty-handed but in objective terms, it will have been a failure of a season without a trophy to show for their efforts.

While what you say is true, there are factors in play that define these type of runs (I study them for my betting strategy so I have some idea, or at least I like to believe that I do).

I backed Liverpool to win the title before the season started, but City never really gave up and Pool missed their chance when they were 7 pts ahead. I can’t be arsed to write down the analysis why, but I think Liverpool are more likely to drop points until the end than City.

In any way it’s been a freak season all along. 2 teams end up with more than 90 points, the possibility of all English finals in both European competitions, which translates in English winners in both. Never has English football been so competitive.

These results unequivocally speak that the best players and coaches currently reside in the EPL.

Say, hypothetically speaking - because realistically speaking I just want to cry when I think about it, we were on course to reach 97 points for the season and lose out to a freak 98 point competitor, I would not be mad as a fan at my team at all, knowing that such an incredible tally would usually suffice. And having lost only one game all season.

CL they are still on course for it, although I do think Barcelona will be too much for them. Messi is just… Messi.

I wouldn’t be mad either, and I don’t think Liverpool fans will be either. They’ll be delighted with Klopp and their team, and be looking forward to challenging again next season.

It would be a bitter, bitter pill to swallow but you would be proud of your team’s efforts.

If Klopp is a loser, we are lost.
