It’s kind of amazing to see how outraged Celtic fans are over this.

I get that it’s frustrating for them that he’s left midway through the season, but they’re 8 points clear and should easily still win the league. He’s won everything he possibly could in his first two seasons there and has them set up to do so again.

The amount of money he was given there to spend was obviously pennies compared to what Lieceister will have, so why the hell would he stay there once he gets a job offer like this one at a decent Premier League club?

Reading twitter its because he’s left half way through a season and constantly said he’s a Celtic man this is his dream job etc. If he left in the summer they would have accepted it. Which you can understand tbh.

If we got some Arsenal fan in who won us two trebles in a row then fucked off mid season on the way to our third we wouldn’t be best pleased either :joy:

Not really. They shouldn’t. Lennon is a good manager and was doing well with Hibs.

However the sectarian nonsense will probably fire up again. Can see some nasty stuff on the horizon in that respect.

One of the reasons why some Celtic fans are annoyed is because Rodgers has come out of this looking like a hypocrite due to the way he treated DembĂ©lĂ© last summer, and him questioning DembĂ©lé’s loyalty.

Apparently Rodgers told Dembele to leave as he was too good for Celtic, and then made out publicly he was a snake for moving on, causing lol the Celtic fans to abuse Dembele.
