yeah well I guess it is how he went about it. If it had happened quietly it’d be different.
But besides the fact that it went sour in public, it’s still the usual “show no loyalty - demand full loyalty” fan crap here, plenty of people have been saying he should fuck off, he’s a has-been, crocked, we should be ruthless with people like him etc, should never play for us again ideally bla bla. But if he dumps us first people get mad. It’s not like we as a fanbase were respecting him much for spending nearly a decade at the club giving everything he got to the best of his abilities, as soon as his skills fell off he was dead to people anyway and most would’ve sold him for £5m for years now lol. Cuntish by him no doubt but besides that we can’t get around that it is also with a hint of fan entitlement.

I mostly agree but as stated before he could have handled it better. It’s like his desire to leave came out of nowhere. I want to know if he told Emery of his plans at the end of last season. Because the general consensus seems to be that Emery relied on him as a starter next season, but Kos suddenly in the midst of summer just before the tour, decided he wanted to move home.
He could have been professional and told Emery earlier, being the club captain and all, and I think this is the fact that hurt people the most. If we knew his plans at the end of the season then I would be happy for him and feel that he deserved to leave.
We won’t get the whole truth before the day he retires though, if even then.
Seen a lot of players tell him goodbye which could mean he didn’t leave on bad terms with them. Gonna stay neutral on this till I hear an explanation from him.
