So Truss and Kwarteng had to fall on their sword after the mini-budget, mostly because of how the markets reacted and the surge in bond/gilt rates. They then somewhat recovered.
The bond/gilt markets have been beyond Truss highs and are bracing for similar again. June’s borrowing was the highest on record (aside from Covid), inflation rising…Will either Starmer and Reeves similarly fall on their swords - we can only hope!
We are living in a dystopian world and there is nothing to suggest improvement anytime soon, because it doesn’t appear we have any political parties/politicians in the background who appear any more competent.
