Absolutely superb when he came on
Was the perfect game for him with challenges flying about and getting a bit heated.
He loves it, and was the calm head in the middle of it all.
Should have come on earlier IMO

Defensively speaking, heās one of the worst LBās weāve ever had. Tavares wasnāt even as braindead defensively.
Does Zinchenkoās positives outweigh his negatives at LB? Iām not so sure. Teams target him and he gets roasted every single game.
I think he can be shifted to midfield and cover LB when absolutely necessary.
Iād argue he is better than Tavares defensively, and significantly better than Santos obv
Still doesnāt mean heās good at it - we have a nice balance of options at the club atm, hope that continues after this season
Jesus Christ lol
The issue with players like this is having stronger cover from your midfield.
Thereās always going to be some give on the defence side. Itās part of the modern game.
TAA has been massively exposed this season but itās always been a weakness in his game.
Itās been highlighted though as Liverpool midfield was shot to bits for most of the season.
The pluses though are the same as with Zinchenko.
The days of elite fullbacks like Cole and Evra are mostly gone now.
Games changed/evolved or whatever.
Yup, cover from midfield and a CB on that side that can aggressively move to help and cover, knowing theyāve got a rock solid partner in the middle who can handle themselves. Matip or Konate could do that when they had prime Van Dijk alongside them, Gabriel can do it with Saliba there but not Holding.
Yep itās an unpopular opinion. Every winger has him on toast and itās hard to watch.
Well, this man wonāt be here next season.
Iām truly baffled by the decision to leave him out today. It only makes any sort of sense if heās carrying a knock. Forestās main danger is a pacey right winger.
Also would make sense to try and get him a couple more good games to fluff his value up this summer, Iād have thought anyway.
Good player, but doesnāt seem to fit into Artetaās plans.
Thanks for everything, Kieran!
Heās actually gone to great lengths to not use him this season.
Used Tomiyasu and Cedric there before the WC and now it looks Xhaka or Kiwior are getting the nod there too.
Bit of bad end for someone who was a fan favourite and even an Arteta favourite not too long ago.
I mean, heās a good player. But this isnāt really the setup for him.
They practically tried to ignore him last week against Brighton. It was fucking ridiculous actually.
It was one of the first times he didnāt try to emulate what Zinchenko did, and it certainly didnāt work well.

Out of ignorance, who ignored him?
On topic though Iām absolutely gutted for him. I see that he doesnāt fit into Artetaās role but still not nice to see for such a likeable guy and player
Maybe the Cancelo rumours have some merit to them.
Basically didnāt receive a pass when we were building up from defence. There was a few times Tierney was overlapping and it felt like his run was ignored. It ended up producing a really lopsided display for much of the game.

Tierney is certainly Canceloād.
