His drop off this season is strange. A shadow of the player we saw last season.

He still has that crazy delivery in him but his legs are pretty much gone.
Can’t use him a gull gane anymore. Might as well keep him fit for the CL.

He started off the season quite well. We all feared the Haaland X De Bruyne tandem.
But he has been quite shit last games. Probably fatigue and exhaustion playing up.
Think we are over estimating the downfall here. Players of his ability likely adjust their game in time.
Too clever a footballer not to utilise his attributes.

Depends on the individual though. Has he had enough success domestically? I think we’ll see a different Kevin in the CL.
He might just be fed up. 31, won everything he’s likely to bar the CL. City changing style a bit to suit Haaland. Maybe he adapts eventually but also maybe he can’t be arsed.

His poor form is having a similar effect on Man City as Salah’s drop off is with Liverpool.
I’ve even kicked him out of my Fantasy team a couple of games ago and bought in Fernandes.

Fuck I didn’t realise he was 32 in June.
An underrated aspect of his game is his work rate and ability to force errors. He’s a lung busting midfielder. Almost 7 years of Pep’s sprinting press system will eventually catch up with you.
Thing is, he was still absolutely killing it earlier in the season. Seems more like a squad morale / mental fatigue issue at play here.

I remember mentioning it right before and into the World Cup.
He was clocking lots of minutes and for me he was visibly ran into the ground.
We’re talking about a guy that has had injury issues before and has powered through them.
He’s talked about them in the past:
That’s why I said they should have been looking for his heir already. It’s tough to find a dynamic playmaker like him around but you have to settle for the closest thing.
I mentioned Maddison back then and The Athletic did reveal recently he’s actually one of the players they’re looking at in the summer. For me he is the only one that comes close to Kevin’s range of passing all over the pitch and can score goals too.
Their squad is gonna need a big revamp in the summer.
Honestly not even being bitter here, but didn’t see that first goal as anything that special.
You get slated if you miss that. Had a good game overall though.

I think most players take an extra touch there. He took it first time with his weak foot. It was really well taken. I actually don’t think any of our players would score that.
