I’m on it. I’ll offer him £400k pw and £400k administration fee. I’ll post the Gofundme for the admin fee later.
Havertz turning in a performance so bad Germany fired their coach?
It is the other way round
Ok whew. I was worried for a second.
I’m sure getting waxed by Japan will have done wonders for his confidence though. I really hope something breaks his way soon.
This lineup pretty much failed in the WC, and why the fuck Flick kept using it???
Why keeping Muller?
Why starting fucking Sule and Schlottebeck?
Why having Kai as striker?
1:4 is not the real score, they just gave up the last 2, and I’m fine trailing 1:2 to Japan.
It was just, fucking repeated the failing formula again and again.
Iirc Fulkrug (sp) was supposed to be a striker option but couldn’t play.
Why put Kai as the other option?
Can’t even find another striker from the whole country??
Having Same and Gnabry as two forwards better than Kai as lone striker.
You don’t have to sell me on that line of thinking. He hasn’t been in great form for us.
I’m already dreading the “They call me 007” memes that will inevitably surface if he continues putting up zeroes in the attack.
I’m stating the fact.
It’s not a confidence thing anymore, he’s just a crap player.
Not his fault, people keep picking him to play games, when there are better options everywhere.
Must be nice to be on that salary, not perform at all and still get rewarded with more playing time.
Maybe I should try that at work on my measley salary and see what happens.
I still think we need to give him more time, man.
We’re probably still in a bit of disbelief that he’s here, he’s no longer a Chelsea player, and the price tag.
Bearing that in mind, we should separate the “Chelsea Havertz” from the “Arsenal Havertz”, who Arteta, most importantly, sees something in. It’s a new system, a new environment, and a different expectation. He could come good with the right nurturing.
It’s far too soon (and unfair) to write him off.
He looks pretty harmless atm, but you guys are being waaay to quick to write him off.
If that’s true (that he’s shit) that makes Arteta look highly imcompetent. You can say that after 3 games, and Arteta couldn’t see that afer watching him at Chelsea, and still can’t see that after working with him on everyday basis…
The argument about having to play him because he payed so much money for him absolutely doesn’t stand after seeing what happenend with Pepe or with Auba after the renewal. I don’t think Arteta cares about that at all.
If you can’t give more credit to Havertz, at least you should give it to Arteta.
Never underestimate the ego of a coach to prove they were right about a player. If Arteta really was pushing for the signing he’d be more likely to give Havertz a longer leash. Doubt he’d do it to the detriment of his own job though. We’re lead to believe he’s this super ruthless character.
This is what you say when a player has underformed for months. Havertz has played 4 games. And played pretty well for the most part. I hope he stays part of the starting XI for a long time to come.
Saying he’s played well is fantasy tbh
Bar must be on the floor
An indirect accusation of the coach.
Another way to say he is sabotaging the team.
Nah, I’m not saying he’s sabotaging the team but some coaches fall in love with players and want to try to make them work.
Xhaka is a great example of that. Wenger, Emery and Arteta all started him. It took years to figure out what his best position was.
I could see Havertz falling into the same type of category.
The alternative hypothesis is that managers see these players making contributions and bringing things to the team’s play that supporters just don’t pick up very well.
Xhaka was not just picked by every Arsenal manager, he also had managers as stylistically different as Jose Mourinho and Xabi Alonso trying to sign him. That doesn’t mean he was a world beater but I think its pretty clear there were aspects to the player that were appreciated by managers far more than by supporters.
Like Xhaka, Havertz is a player that every manager seems to like. He has had four different managers since coming to England and each one has picked him pretty consistently despite having talented alternatives.
Lol yeah.
It’s only 4 games plenty of time for him to settle in and come good. But saying he has been pretty good so far is just living on another planet.
Even the manager has basically admitted it has been a rocky start.
