Havertz to force a move maybe?

Lower the price to about Ā£40m and I’d bite your hand off for it

No way Haverz is an 8…
He would definitely be playing as a forward, as a false 9 primarily I guess, but on the wings too.
I guess he would be an option for all the forward positions.

It’s an interesting deal if we can get him for a decent price. I guess he would be out marquee forward signing for the summer.

He’s a dangerous player in the right context and I’m sure Arteta would be able to provide that for him.

What he showed at Leverkusen(Kusen means vagina in danish btw) means little now that he have been worse than shite for 3 years now. He has a nice little left foot and no right foot. He is slow, clumsy, lanky and cant dribble past players or get out of congested areas. He is tall, but he is Ozil-like in his physichal play and offers ZERO aggression. As I see it his only upside is that he is kinda tall and can run for days, thats it.

True. I think for the club to make the approach, it’s probably because they think they’ve got a real chance here and want to get him before Bayern turn their attention to him again(like it was plan a few months ago).

I do get the vibe once Chelsea give in and lower their price, Bayern will then enter the race, and I don’t see a German player choosing us over them.

Why are we bailing these cunts out , we always end up with Chelsea rejects. Should’ve gone for Kovacic instead, but he’s City bound/done.

Where will we play him? CAM; so he’s a backup to Odegaard in that case or Xhaka’s replacement.

If we get Kai, then we can kiss the Ricedo dreams goodbye.

At this rate, we’re likely going to end up with Rice, Havertz and some randoms… not convinced that’s an improvement at all on our current squad.

Still, early days. I’ll trust Arteta lol.

If Havartz cannot make it as an 8, how ESR can be??
Rumors sayiing Arteta was trying to make ESR a Xhaka replacement??
Probably he found out that ESR was not that guy and now looking Havartz to fill that role (or have a different setup)??

I’ve seen it pop up, but apparently Chelsea need to sell by the end of June in order to stay within the FFP ruling. Not sure how true this is but clubs interested in their players will rightly wait it out to watch them flap at the last minute.

if Arteta identified Kai as a talent and able to turn him into a player that can contribute… I think it will be helping us more than helping Chelsea.

Havertz played as a forward since he was a professional basically… I don’t see that transformation really.

ESR isn’t that far from him, but he’s a LW/10… Havertz played as a (false) 9 for the majority of his time at Chelsea.

Would be a huge transformation for him… Even with ESR it’s a bit of a long shot and he’s probably a bit too attacking oriented for it (and all talk about him as an 8 is pure speculation btw), with Havertz I don’t see it at all.

And I don’t see us paying around 60M for him and then to try such experiments with him. He will play the same role he plays at Chelsea (if he joins).

Target locked. Trust in the manager will once again be tested with this one. Boss clearly sees special things in him that we’re lacking. Arteta seems to like versatile players a lot.

we all don’t know what Arteta has in mind… if Kai is really his transfer target

I haven’t been impressed with this guy. But he has been playing in a shit Chelsea team… But what I do know is that for 75 million… we can do better.

Kai Havertz as a marquee forward signing is like me serving tofu burgers at the cookout.

Do you have a problem with every signing we make? Lol

Such a strange transfer link. The last thing we need is a false number 9, 10, 8, 7 and 11. I like Havertz (not as much as Felix) but this would be the epitome of luxury signing. That would leave Trossard, Jesus, ESR and Hazard as attacking players without a, set position. Jesus is pretty set as CF, but hopefully you get my point - he’s not a specialist.

I don’t see how its a luxury signing given that we have literally nobody who has proven the ability to back up either Saka or Odegaard at a high level.

Vieira was supposed to be that guy but looks like a total bust. ESR has played all his best football on the left side. Trossard and Nelson also are both really left sided options and have struggled on the right.

We could play 55-60 matches this year and somebody needs to play on the right other than Saka and Odegaard for a lot of them.

Not just a link mate, Arsenal’s interest is confirmed. Obviously you hold the opposite position to him on his usefulness but would you still trust the coach on this one if we get him?

I could be very wrong, but don’t see Havertz being at his best as our creative mid or on the right wing. Always seen him as a support striker.

He was brilliant at Leverkusen.

I am willing to go with this. He has the talent and his international record for Germany is decent
