Or we could do 2011 where Falcao, Aguero, Suarez, Dzeko, Forlan, Eto’o and Klose all moved. Sanchez too since you wanna name non strikers in yours
how about a year later when Ibrahimovic moved again. RVP moved. Adebayor did. Giroud did.
It was a decent window by recent standards but it’s still a sad fucking list my friend

I don’t like how football has changed so much that a proper clinical bastard is so hard to find these days.
Feels like an entire position has been eliminated in the space of a few years.
Outside of Mbappe and Haaland, who is actually pulling up trees at the highest level now? It’s just dead at every corner when it comes to strikers.

Seeing a lot of comments from fans saying they can’t wait till Kai is back because Gyok isn’t scoring freely atm. I feel like people have short memories here because the reason we’ve been begging for a striker is because Havertz isn’t a natural finisher. His link up play is great but he has frustrated us a lot hence why we went out and bought a striker. It will be fantastic to have him back so we can change our approach depending on the opposition, but I think there are fans out there truly believing his return is going to be majestic.
Reality is that he’s going to take a while to get back into the swing of things, and our best hope is that he enables the players around him to start scoring more.

To be completely honest with you, I didn’t think striker was a problem for us. Love Jesus and Havertz found a great goalscoring form in 2024 before his injury.
Our most entertaining football that people still reminisce about today has come with Jesus up top. Our best season points wise under Mikel and goals wise ever came with Havertz up top.
Simply put, I don’t think there are many if any strikers out there available that are genuine upgrades on what we had.
Isak seemed to be that guy who could have been that genuine step up but injuries have clearly taken a toll on him.
As things stand, Haaland, Kane and Mbappe out there are the only strikers that I’m genuinely jealous of.
Alvarez is great but I don’t think he’s quite up there with them yet.

Yeah, Gyok, Kai and Jesus notwithstanding, Berta and crew should have one job: find an assassin. Easier said than done, but imagine us with a certified killer up front.

Will be great to have him back as an option. On paper, Havertz/Jesus, Trossard/Eze, Eze/Odegaard and Saka offers a high possibility of some very sexy football.
