Kai Havertz (29)

his stats look very good on paper but if you watch those games, he does miss at least 2-3 golden chances in every game. im not against his performance but we do need a clinical striker but there are hardly any in market.

No he doesn’t.

Yes he does, you need to watch the games again

He doesn’t even have 2 shots in some games ffs.

because he missses those opportunities, even in Wolves game, he missed a very good chance.

Yes. One good chance. In one game. Not two or three every game. That’s genuinely a ridiculous statement and i think you know that.

7.5xG for 9 scored goals, there are not missed “golden chances”

I don’t really understand why over the summer some fans seemed to really regress on their opinions of him and suddenly think he wasn’t good enough again.

Anyway, despite his detractors, his results have spoken for themselves ever since things clicked for him in this team during last season.

Always said we’d have a player on our hands once we had de-Chelsea’d him and when played in his preferred position as striker, through the middle. Our set-up allows players to thrive !?

Because he’s not a rEAl StRiKer.
He’s not supposed to be good up front.

How do you define “golden chances”?

Please don’t tell me because you have a sight on goal and then it counts as one.

It is more fair to say he doesn’t shoot much, he is not clinical.
To say missing a lot of “golden chances”, it is Haaland.

I assume what @Bilalkhan_01 is referring to are half chances, which for an elite striker (Henry) would be proper chances.

Havertz doesn’t have the greatest of shots, isn’t strong in possession for a big guy, doesn’t have quick feet etc. but no one can’t argue against his end product right now. He’ll frustrate you now and then but seems to produce the goods more often than not.

BTW, am not his biggest fan but he’s vital to this team.

I know Martinelli is the fans new favourite scapegoat but Havertz had as bad game for sure, really thought he did nothing and this sequence below was awful.

He didn’t have a good game but that particular chance is pretty overblown, Villa defender is positioned very well there.

If Havertz plays Saka there is only a small window to finish due to the angle with respect to the keeper and defender and the ball to Timber is extremely difficult to play across the defender and the keeper while still putting it in a good spot to be finished. If he lobs it then the Villa defenders have time to recover their positions.

I don’t even know what that screenshot means…

That guy should get us a video

Lol sad Chelsea fan still trying to prove Havertz is a flop.

Cunt.

I haven’t seen a replay but from the still, Martinelli’s run looks suboptimal.

Been trying to find a clip but the thing that got me annoyed live viewing was it didnt look like Havertz knew where anybody was in the box regardless.
