Kai Havertz (29)

The more noticeable difference is when he’s played with a player like Nketiah. Fewer touches within the box. Less opportunities to drift central to play as the centre-forward

His touch map versus Fulham

Yup, good point. And I think that’s one of the main reasons why Eddie is done here. Our offense is just so much more dynamic when the striker roams around and the front five are fluid.

Eddie’s last two starts were Newcastle away and Fulham away and they were two of our worst offensive matches of the year.

He’s really cooking at the moment!

I definitely didn’t specifically want to sign him. But my posting history on Kai has remained balanced since he has been here.

It’s oKai mate, we believe you :pires:

I must admit I was not over the moon when we paid a shit load of money for him but latley he has been good not brilliant but better than he has been. Lets hope he can keep it going, so credit where its due.

Let’s calm down here.

What Havertz has proved is that he is extremely intelligent player when it comes to tactics, has good off the ball movement and his physicality adds to our overall defensive resilience.

If he continues like this, it justifies Arteta’s preference, and that’s promising. We are getting value for our money in that regard.

However, you need more. There will come a time when he is upfront, our football is not working, and it’s the on-the-ball ability that will need to make the difference.
It’s starting to look like he has more conviction in his game. I hope he will soon come out of his shell. I am still worried that this version of Havertz is useful when things are going well.

Just want to see some him regain some of his Leverkusen form. Still think we overpaid for him but if he even rediscovers a fraction of that form, it will still be worth it. Like I said from the start, there is an excellent attacker in there.

That’s why we have players like Jesus and Trossard, for when we need something else.

No-one is saying we need to build the team around him or that he’s our most important player.

Maybe Arteta can call in a favor with Wenger at ask him to learn Havertz to be more consistent in front of goal. He did a good job with that with Henry, van Persie and Walcott.

What did he do with Gervinho?

:joy::joy:

Worst finisher ever

Told him to leave :rofl::rofl:
