Nah. He’s always sucked.
Easy for us to hate on him but if that was Arsenal and a homegrown player assisted that goal and overall had a big impact in that run, I would never turn on him. Their fans booed him last season and bullied him off social media.
I mean Chelsea fans are awful by nature but I think it may have been more of them initially overrating Mount and then those chickens coming home to roost. He was never very good.

“what we’ve got up front? people trying to do stepovers like grasshoppers man, flatfooted merchants”
Chelsea fans are going to be so salty over Havertz and how we are getting the best out of him.
The lifeguard at the pool I swim is a Chelsea fan and was so happy they sold him. I plan on giving him a good razzing on Wednesday when I see him.
Case closed. We all deserve to eat humble pie here. I thought he was a shocking signing until late Jan, early Feb.
He’s proving me wrong + his output being better than all those guys is a testament to his quality.
In his first season he’s on track to do better than Xhaka’s best season in 7 years.
Star bum.
He’s the best of the worst players on the best of the worst team in the league.
No, don’t say we all.
You and certain others deserve that humble pie who were having none of it regarding Havertz.
Initial reaction to the rumour aside, a good chunk of people were onboard once we signed him, supported the lad and recognised the effort he was putting in. Odds were with him that it would click at some point.
Unfortunately the dude was deemed a flop just a couple games into the season and was scapegoated to no end, even for games he barely even played. He was even blamed for the loss against West Ham too when the dude was fucking suspended.
Well… sometimes we get things wrong, sometimes we get things right.
That’s football - you never really know how a player is going to turn out. We all went off 3 seasons in EPL football + 20+ performances in an Arsenal shirt.
Though I do think it’s still too early to make a conclusion on Havertz as a player for Arsenal - but I admit he’s had a good first season so far and has contributed well.
You’re contradicting yourself now. I swear it was case closed just 9 minutes ago?
Anyway, you’re right in that it is still early.
Lesson learnt for people to not call a summer signing a flop in August/September.
Doubt it’ll change my or many other fans’ behaviour if we spend another £65m+ on players who’ve been unimpressive for 3 years prior though.
I just have to accept that Mikel and Edu knows the market better than I do and trust the process.
But it’s perfectly natural to be less than enthused when your club offers huge sums for a player well above their actual valuation.
I’m just glad that he’s doing well and putting in a shift with meaningful contributions.
@GC-Maniac deserves some credit for keeping the faith.
I think the Bavster himself deserves some too for remaining balanced in regard to Kai.
Big up the 27%
Saddend and deeply offended by this post
Youre too quick, I was planning on doing a Havertz early support gang roll-call with you at the top of the list.
His coming good could be just the tiny difference we need for title.
By far his best position is as a striker. Put proper midfielders in midfield.
8 goals and 3 assists.
Very good start to his career at Arsenal
