Kai Havertz (29)

We’ve been tearing teams apart for much longer than just 3 games, and yes Havertz has played a big part in that.

Big difference now is the team is much more efficient and ruthless. Also, scoring brings confidence, confidence brings success.

how many goals and assists for him so far ?

If you want. Personally still of the opinion that the money could have been better spent and that our midfield could be even better if we’d signed someone else.

I must admit I thought he was shite and couldn’t understand why he was bought. I am not wholly convinced yet BUT he seems to be trying his best defiantly a lot better now than he has been. So I hope he kicks on and makes the team and club proud.

You know arsenal are doing really well when even I can’t find much to complain about :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Agreed - we could have spent that money on Hojlund :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Huge change when it comes to the touches outwide. Possession is very much utilised centrally. Specifically down the spine of the team

Crystal Palace game

To me the big change happened during the mid-season trip to Dubai.

Starting to really like this guy and his mentality.

If he can perform like he did vs. Burnley in the next 13 games - think we officially have our Xhaka replacement.

One thing I didn’t realise he was so good at was defensive work-rate, I know you don’t spend 60 off million for that reason but I’ll admit he’s seriously impressive out of possession, irrespective of the scoreline.

Same here. Admittedly, I’d never really focused on watching what he does on that side of the ball before we signed him but even if the fee to performance ratio isn’t there, you can’t say he doesn’t put in a shift.

I was honestly more worried that he wouldn’t be able to do the defensive stuff when we signed him. I was pretty confident (my misgivings about the whole transfer aside) that he’d be a good piece going forward but Xhaka worked so well dropping into left back last season that I was afraid an ostensibly more attacking player wouldn’t have the desire to do it or that he wouldn’t be able to learn the system.

In reality it looks like he picked up the defensive part of the system first and had to wait to have the coach figure out a way to get him more involved in the attack.

7 goals son.

So far so good, hope he keeps it going.

You’re telling me he’s already matched Xhaka’s best goal tally in a PL season?

And the season ain’t even done.

Kai “Flopp” Havertz already on track to supercede fan favourite Xhakas best ever season in an arsenal shirt

Didn’t see this coming tbh.

Imagine he played like this from the start of the season, he’d be on course for 15+ league goals.

There’s some kind od weird player in him. :martinelli:
