Is that true?

Edit - Wow, it is true…

oh my days is this for real??

he attempted a roulette once he came on (even failed)?

That’s the fire and desire and confidence we have been waiting for…

Good on him coming in to make the difference, can’t recall much of his overall game (recall thinking he and nketiah didn’t do much) but he got the goal and it was vital

Hopefully a confidence boost but still fine coming from the bench for now.

Think, if he scores 10-15 goals this year, it will be a good business. Still early days but lets see.

Don’t even think Saka or Martinelli or Jesus would score 15

which is why i said from 10-15 which he should score… only need 8 goals more and still a long season left

I rather see it this way.
Score some odd goals or make a few key assists when the games are in deadlock, get us 9-12 points (4 wins).

That would be great.

Of course, helping us to win a couple of CL games will be better.

I don’t think Kai has been brought in to score 10-15 goals. But that doesn’t mean he couldn’t.

I have Kai nailed on to score a maximum of 7 goals this season. That’s his level unfortunately. Anything better than that is a bonus for me.

Kai got us the 3 points when it mattered the most, couldn’t be happier for him. But am not one of those who thinks this would kick start his career at Arsenal, give him the confidence to do more, play his natural game etc. I think he’ll continue to be hit and miss, with some good contributions along the way.

I hope I am wrong but I just don’t see him as a player that will go on a run of scoring/assisting in the next few games and establish a place for himself in the first team.

I agree, Havertz is useful player who is a very versatile but for 65m, he’s not exactly a game changer.

Nelson did the same thing when he scored a late winner last season and it hasn’t really kick started his career in meaningful way.

Mark my words once he fully settles in and plays within this system he will eventually start to turn out better numbers than Xhaka.

It’s a pointless comparison. One is an attacking midfielder brought in to provide an extra goalscoring option and the other was an out and out CM there to help control the games better. Xhaka spent large parts of the game covering the left back, Havertz is not here for that. Xhaka just happened to be scoring despite that not being his primary function. Beating Xhaka’s numbers is the bare minimum expectation for a player who’s entire job is to score or create more goals.

Kai Havertz defense here (again).

Saka 12 matches 4 goals
Martinelli 11 matches 1 goal
Jesus 8 matches 1 goal

Our forward line is having the same players but not having the same numbers like last season.

If you put Xhaka on this team right now, sure his G/A will go down also.

I don’t understand all these logic behind. Kai has to get certain numbers of goals and assists while our front three are not quite producing.

Think the whole of our front is underperforming whilst it adapts to Artetas tactics and changes, we are more formidable defensively and once we start playing our flowing attacking football coupled with this new defensive solidity it will hopefully be game over for the league.

How long did it take for Xhaka to get those numbers?
Few players can be dropped into a team and just click. Unless you’re willing to spend over Ā£100m.
