Jude Bellingham

Any of Szoboszlai, Maddison, Pacqueta would’ve been far better use of funds than Havertz imo.

Yeah I’m not sure anyone could really debate that, the only debate that could be made is that of would Maddison really have solved our no 8 issues or is he more of a forward / 10 ? Either way still way better than Kai haha.

We will see.

Performance on one team has no meaning after transferring to another team, this was proved for so many times

Yeah I was hoping that would be the case with Kai, but unfortunately he’s looking underwhelming here like he was at Chelsea.

I don’t mind him as a rotational forward option, but I think Arteta ultimately had him pegged as a 65 million solution to a ur no 8 issues.

FIFY

Havertz was benched for a few games and did we have better fluidity on attack??

Nope, we basically were still playing that possession game unlike last season.

People just refuse to accepted fact that our tactics just changed

Why would we have better fluidity with him benched ? We don’t currently have the answer for the no 8 position that’ll go a long way to helping that.

Havertz was the big money signing Arteta eyed off to be that guy.

Because some here said he slowed down our attack, he did not create enough such and such.

With him or not we just play pretty much the same.
So he is not (yet) our solution but he is not our “problem” either.

I agree with that, but unfortunately we spent 65 million trying to solve the problem and it appears as a club we don’t have the answer as of yet.

Long term, he’ll offer way more than that passenger Xhaka.

This is the Bellingham topic right?

Star brought up Kai here and five gave like

That’s starting to sound like copium Dave. He’s not scoring or assisting. If he turns into a competent backup striker it might still be a decent deal but it means we haven’t solved left eight while also needing to replace Partey next summer.

Nor did Xhaka.

Havertz has, historically, been able to score and assist. I have faith in Arteta who clearly has faith in Kai.

By the tenth Premier League game last season, Xhaka had 5 goals+assists. Only Saka has more than that that total this season.

Xhaka had like 8 goals and assist last season, so yeah, no.

More clutch behaviour from Bellingham yesterday.

Xhaka also had like 10 Arsenal seasons behind him to get 8 assists in the first 10 games.

I don’t think Havertz has started every game? And he’s got a goal to his name as well as a crucial assist.

For better or worse Xhaka had a big footprint on how we’d play over the years. Kai isn’t doing that from midfield (yet).

I still think it was a big gamble to move him back to left eight. I tried talking myself into it but I’m not even seeing glimmers of what it could look like now. You could blame the fact he’s not playing with Jesus or with Timber or whatever but I think the simplest explanation is that he’s not suited for that role.
