Wouldn’t this like break our wage structure? I’d take him don’t get me wrong, but surely he’d want an absurd amount of money
Please no inverting right back BS if we do sign him. Thanks
Given his personality he won’t just follow orders. He’ll seek to challenge the coach if he thinks something ain’t right. I’d take him for that reason
We need a sporting director asap
Stop Arteta doing dumb shit
No thanks
I really question and doubt whether signing him would represent good value especially for the kind of wages he’d expect, that alone makes me thank it’s BS
Overall a quality player but not sure he can deal with the pace of the league particularly with his age and waning athleticism which was never top notch in the first place.
Would be a no from me and considering the Zubimendi links it’s likely nothing to it anyway
Yes please. An abundance of quality, versatility, experience. He’d absolutely be worth a 3-4 year deal.
Would instantly come in and be our best midfielder.
But don’t think this is likely I reckon he’s way more likely to renew with Bayern
Besides even if he signed it would be another LWB to the roster
Jorginho must want to leave because it’d make much more sense to keep him imo.
Already agreed a contract with a club back in Brazil I thiught
Alwayt thought he was quality, I hope he hasn’t declines much recently.
Would be a great Jorginho replacement if that’s the idea.
I’m not sure that he becomes our best midfielder, but I would be fully behind this transfer. As you say, he would add significant quality and experience to our midfield.
A midfield of Rice, Zubimendi, Kimmich and Merino next season is very strong IMO.
Just a friendly nudge Mikel, me old mate, me old beauty. Could you not concentrate your efforts on buying FUCKING STRIKERS!
Arsenal fans will lose their shit in the summer when we buy:
- Zubimendi
- Kimmich
- Backup Goalkeeper
- New defender
…before we sign a striker!
Tell me about it.
He is not a typical invert RB.
He actually is a RB and a CM/CDM.
I think he would be exclusively a CM here, a Jorginho/Partey replacement.
He doesn’t have the athleticism to be a full back in the PL at this stage.
Maybe at times, to fill in as an emergency, but that would be his secondary role. Especially with the numbers we have in the full back positions.
If he’s coming he’s surely Partey/Jorginho replacement.
My spidey sense are telling me that this is another agent+German player looking to extract as much as they can out of Bayern, for what will likely be his last big pay day at the top level.
Or it’s just absolute journalists nonsense…
If we get Kimmich and Zubimendi to replace Partey and Jorghino, I’d be delighted. £50m outlay to upgrade our midfield.
Kimmich’s midfield stats for progressive passes are insane, the perfect player to come on and unlock those low blocks. Kimmich has pin-point passing too. He can also play anywhere across the back-line though his defensive stats aren’t as good.
Wages are high but with a few high earners leaving and with around £100m from our transfer business last summer, I think we can accommodate his wages on a 2 year contract.
