Joshua Kimmich

Outside of Partey we don’t have a midfielder who’d be better than Kimmich.

He’d also most likely be our best RB too.

Well you know my thoughts on Partey…time to say goodbye. I am behind this transfer though. Smart business if we can get it done.

Which of our midfielders do you think is better than Kimmich?

I don’t know the player well enough to be able to comment on that but know he is a top quality player and it seems a very smart deal. Rice, Zubimendi, KImmich, and Merino as our central midfield options looks very strong.

To me it looks garbage.

Absolute lack of creativity. Tough and robust is the only thing it sounds.

Are we even stronger with that selection of midfielders?

If Partey leaves there isn’t a choice, but not sure my confidence would be higher?

Kimmich as a RB in the PL, good luck

He’d get cooked

This is a no brainer

Genuinely world class midfielder to start with Zubimendi and Merino in reserve is depth

Check his midfield stats, in particular passing accuracy and the number of key passes he makes.

I would definitely much rather have Kimmich as our starting 6 than Zubimendi btw.

Cheaper, better, older but just maybe gives enough space for Skelly to learn that role and take over in a few years.

Get Kimmich, keep Partey (or Jorginho; preferably Partey because of the age) as a sub. There’s Rice and Skelly too.

Abort Zubi. I’d rather have a tecnical/creative 8 in stead.

Who’s?

I was referring to the entire set of 4 midfielders listed not strictly Kimmich.

Kimmich in for Jorginho would be fine but then I don’t want Zubimendi on top, we need better and more of an advanced player.

Zubimendi doesn’t really excite me at all. Just not seeing it with him and I also do wonder if he really actually even wants a big move. Seems to have even quite content to play for Sociedad and doesn’t really seem eager to move.

You’re gonna get boring and you’re gonna love it

I don’t watch enough football outside of Arsenal to truly comment, but I feel instinctively sceptical about this claim lol.

Very much a “the proof is in the eating of the pudding” situation for me as to whether that would be an improvement.

Are you playing Rice as a No.8?

Rice Ødegaard Big Joshua

Give us the league and CL :trophy:

Where’s Zubimendi playing? :worried:

First sub for me.

He doesn’t start ahead of them for me

Zubimendi is an absolute starter for me…may have noticed I am a little bit obsessed with him :sunglasses:

Zubimendi is the defensive midfielder, that’s his trade. Looking at his figures Kimmich would be a playmaker who can also provide defensive cover as well. Obviously they’re both rotation options with our other midfielders.

I wouldn’t read too much into comments like “Kimmich will be replacing Jorginho” too seriously. It’s about having the right balance in terms of squad numbers rather than tying new players to roles vacated by departing players.
