Jorginho

Mad.

Did Chelsea ever get a tune out of him, to this degree? It’s all relevant to how the teams played etc but he really feels equal to Declan Rice in midfield. He’s not just some aging bum that is collecting wages here, he’s been a monster with his performances overall at Arsenal.

Not like this. My Chelsea mates are pretty bummed that we’re getting a tune out of both Jorge and Kai

When Chelsea won the CL, he was nominated for Ballon Dor

He had a great six weeks that year iirc. CL and Euro back to back.

I didn’t see him play but people were raving about his performances back then.

his over the top through pass is the best on the team

I know exactly what you mean by this but just imagine trying to explain that to an alien who’d never watched football before. Language is so weird sometimes. :hipster:

Thought he had a rough game initially but he grew into it and his assist for the Havertz goal was decisive.

Think Partey would’ve come on eventually but he did so well to see the game out that was not an option.

I’m interested to see who starts vs Bayern ? Partey or Jorginho.

Jorginho starts for me…keep Partey as an impact sub. I’m not sure I trust him to start such a big match for us.

Play the most in form and healthy ones.

Jorgi is one.

Partey.

Need the physicality more against Bayern than ball control. Plus Jorgi played 90 mins today so doubt he can handle the game on Tues tbh.

Would not even be surprised to see Kai back in midfield and both Gabi’s up top for the chaos factor.

Yeah I think Partey will start.

This guy was a huge factor towards our change of form at the start of the year following our horrific Xmas and NY.

I fully expect him to start against Bayern.

I’d expect Jorginho to be honest. Partey vs Villa.

Can’t drop Jorge now

Dude been a revelation for us and without Partey we have been banging in goals and keeping clean sheets

Never change a winning team and all that

Partey can come on as a sub and needs some match rhythm first before being considered first choice in such an important game.

His proficiency to con/sweet talk referees into not booking him is exceptional.

Tuchel targeted him. He struggled in both games against Porto too. City the same.

Should use him more sporadically going forward rather than him being involved as Plan A.

He was never much of a runner but his legs are gone and when the opposing side has runners or ball carriers, you do run a risk with hin in the side.

Also, played a full game against Brighton. Either manage his minutes or don’t use him altogether.

Personally, I’d like us to revert back to Havertz-Rice-Odegaard.
I don’t think Partey is the solution. Get more runners in midfield for these games.

Jesus must start the 2nd leg so yeah the options are either bench Martinelli or Havertz drops into midfield. After seeing Partey’s 10 min cameo starting him ain’t really an option.

In a weird way, Partey is now a better fit gor when we want to be a bit more adventurous.
