Despite signing a new contract last summer, James Madison’s camp is not closing the door to the idea of him leaving Leicester City this summer. #ArsenalBell understands that members of the player’s camp have informed Arsenal that the player is open to a new challenge if a suitable offer arrives this summer.

my only worry would be that Leicester are a better team then us

We’ve got a better chance of resurrecting that James Maddison and playing him in midfield than signing this James Maddison.

Would prefer we tried to go for Grealish but would be happy with this guy as well. For me a midfield of Bissouma, Partey and Maddison should be enough to easily get back into top 4.

This is revisionism, to be fair.

At this point I just want us to sign him so Leicester fans can pipe down.

What, all of it?

Care to explain why rather than just making sweeping statements about me being wrong?

Oh come on you have too give them credit on Vardy.
Might at best been a rough diamond before they bought him.
He’s probably also a well driven individual but as much as he may have been given an opportunity he’s definitely had some coaching that’s improved him and taken him to being an international footballer.
He’s not some generation talent who just got overlooked.

And tbf, that’s why I said probably for Vardy and Maddison, so I think I did give them credit there.

But I do think he was better than the level he was playing at and is one of the most determined players around, so I’m not going to give Leicester all of the credit for his improvement

Is this true though or has he slipped through the nets like Ian Wright did? He was prolific at the lower levels before Leicester signed him. Although it looks like he didn’t get going at Leicester to his second Championship season and second PL season

Maguire - despite his price tag, he took the next step at Leicester - and obviously passed on to United for a mega-fee (that was Leicester’s doing on the back of his performances at Leicester). His doing at Hull wasn’t why United wanted him to be their CB General.

Mahrez - he took some time to adapt, but not sure of the relevance here. He is a star and grew into his role at Leicester and, much like Maguire, was sold for a lot of money.

Kante - he was never as good prior as what he was at Leicester. Now, he’s a freak. Not sure what your argument is here (against mine, that is).

Vardy/Maddison - Vardy, in particular, is a freak. Maddison, potentially.

I think to suggest that Leicester fluked it is harsh and inaccurate… Not only did they win the league, but they are, with a shoestring of a budget, with a top-flight history that fits on an A4 piece of paper, are challenging PL mainstays (United/Liverpool) but are also making the likes of Pepe Guardiola specifically strategise against them….

Not sure about that, incredible defensive stats at Caen, with a better offensive output

50% of your scouting could be on whoscored looking at the average interceptions/tackles per game tbh

Time to move this.

Saying Maddison’s camp expect a bid soon. 4 year contract plus 1 year extension offered, almost double his salary at Leicester and offered the number 10 shirt
