You don’t have to be a Gooner to hate spurs but if you’re playing for spurs it’s best to pretend that you aren’t.
It’s interesting that, although he says he’s not a Gooner, he doesn’t actually say anything complimentary about spurs.

I think it says a lot about them and their complex that they get so defensive over an Arsenal fan jokingly saying “Why Spurs?”.
No Arsenal fan would get that salty if someone who supports them asks Rice “Why Arsenal?”.
Ultimately, they know deep down that they are a banter club, and they are also wondering how they landed Maddison, the fact that Maddison looks so awkward answering that question as they pointed out says it all.

I personally stopped caring about him. He’s just wind-up merchant so once you pick it up it’s easy to ignore.
When he was on Talksport with Laura and Ally he was there to pretty much wind up Laura every morning. And Laura would usually do the same.
TalkSport has built the majority of their name off those types. Adrian Durham is still spouting bollocks on there in 2023. O’Hara, Goldstein, Cundy and even YouTube twats like Rory Jennings throwing out any take that’ll maximise engagement. The Jordan-White segments and Adam Catterall are the be all and end all of that station.
