Jakub Kiwior (15)

don’t like any of the defending from the left side in that sequence.

  • Kiwior not attempting to get his head on it. Arguably it’s his zone. The there’s a big gap between him and MLS. If Harrison stays on his feet, it’s a goalscoring chance.

  • MLS misjudges the flight of the ball initially and then has to overcompensate getting back in position.

  • Merino doesn’t sense the danger either.

That positioning from Kiwior is awful, forget the initial bit but as the ball goes over he makes no effort to minimise the gap at all.

Thought he had a good game overall though.

That would mean moving three players out of their preferred position to facilitate a RB that played ~ 150 minutes since November.

Correct, but the thinking was Kiwior has been better at LB in his time here than CB and MLS has shown a bit of recent weakness defensively, so maybe for Madrid it would be an idea to throw it back to the second half of last season.

Either way with Gabriel out we have to shuffle, White at CB would still be a guy who’s played that many minutes and hasn’t played that role for 2 years.

bet you that snake wouldn’t say that if it was against liverpool. Yes it definitely was not a penalty but he is doing this to wind up the everton fans. Sky is pretty much 100% for any crap that hits us.

Rock solid tonight. Not bad for someone who’s barely got a sniff. Has a big future wherever he ends up

He’ll be a unit and legend for juve

Nervy moment or two in the first half but otherwise brilliant.

Not surprised with a good performance in the slightest. Always rated him.

Not playing regularly would make Gabriel and Saliba make silly errors too.

I sill hope we can somehow manage to convince him to stay.

I really don’t mind having him as Saliba and Gabriel’s back up.
He is good enough to take some minutes from them against certain opponents.

Rocky first half but did a complete U-turn in the second. I’d argue he was our best defender today.

Fantastic game after his initial nerves settled.

Fiat fucks to him. Everyone had their doubts.

Big up Kiwior. After Sane pieced him up last season I was fearful but my word what an assured top class performance.

This sent me

Keeping a clean sheet with Kiwior in the backline, who would’ve thought

Much maligned but I LOVED that we secured the clean sheet with no Gabriel, he may not be here for much longer but he’s not as bad as many of us make out

Hope he gets a good move in the summer
