Tbf he isn’t really being tasked with going forward now that White is doing the inverting on the right instead.
Has looked very solid defensively and keeps the ball moving when we have it.

What I’ve noticed is that Declan Rice, Odegaard, Ben White and Gabriel have started doing more over the top, Partey + Zinchenko esque balls, which seems to be working incredibly well.
I don’t think I trust Kiwior over a 38-game season as I do Zinchenko, FWIW I think they’re both weak spots in our squad but if Kiwior keeps doing the business, I can’t complain.

He’s first choice right now. Looking more and more comfortable as he gets more time. Like Jesus, go with what’s working and keep Zinchenko in the back pocket for when things aren’t working.

I think the key is that we’re playing well enough in midfield that we don’t really need Zinchenko in the inverted, ball progressing role.
If Partey actually comes back, I expect this to only continue as we’ll play a lot of games with 2/3 of Rice/Partey/Jorginho on the pitch.
With Kiwior at LB and Rice shielding the defense we just don’t offer teams much hope in terms of attack. I love it.

Will Zinchenko start making appearances as the left sided centre mid?
I dont expect so. Team is doing well at the moment. White is starting to invert and come into midfield and so Kiwior doesnt need to. At the minute we dont miss Zinny but his time will come again
