Jakub Kiwior (15)

No loan till next season

That rumour is probably bullshit. He’ll get games for sure.

He’s at one of the biggest clubs in the world playing CL and Prem football.

No way he’s going out on loan.

We could loan Holding back from Palace to cover for his loan…:innocent:

@Joshua your thoughts?

I’d rather play Win at CB than give Holding another minute at Arsenal.

One of Gabriel or Saliba will probably get another short to medium term injury this season, so Kiwior is needed for sure.

Feel like he’s been getting a respectable amount of minutes, so either is a bogus rumour or he has unrealistic expectations/entitlement relative to his rank in the squad

He might be worried about starting at the Euros.

No way we can let him go unless we’re bringing in a replacement in January. Even then I’d rather keep him around just in case. We only have five other defenders and two of them (Zinny, Tomi) get hurt all the time.

It’s just a random rumour putting 2+2 together really. Roma and Milan are looking at defenders and Kiwior having shined in Serie A last season and actually chased by the top Serie A clubs before Arsenal got him, naturally will be in their shortlist.

Even the reports suggest he’s "untransferrable’.
There’s no way he goes anywhere with our very poor depth in defence.

I can’t see a loan move happening. I think he needs to stay and take the opportunities given to try to demonstrate he is good enough to play for Arsenal.

Couldnt give a shit if Kiwior is worried about not starting for his national team in a dead international competetion. We only have 3 pure CBs and 2 hybrid CB/Full back. Loaning him is not an option. He stays for the season. And if wants to leave he will have to wait for the summer.

I like his attitude. No player should be happy if they’re not playing. He backs himself.

Think he has solid potential. Big ask to become a starter but he’s done well enough when called on this season at CB or LB.

He’s a bit of a dark horse in terms of athleticism and passing ability. Doesn’t look flashy at all, but he’s got various tools in his locker.

But does Arteta have the opportunities to play him more so that he is not so grumpy?

Had a bit of a mare last night

Was Zinchenko defensively last night but without the attacking threat and build up control.

Was dreadful last night. Wish our backup options in defence weren’t this bad.

He was poor at Luton as well. Bit of a rough patch at the moment.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt being played out of position. Stick a tall CB out on the wing and this sort of shit can happen. CB’s don’t deal with 1v1s often where as fullbacks do all game long.

I means he’s just not a left back, the fact ake, akanji, Tomiyasu etc can do it is not a guarantee any decent cb can play fullback.

Zinchenko is miles clear and Kiwior is just a reserve option there. He should be used to give Gabriel a break in cups and that’s really it.
