Last summer Villa wanted Ā£80m. Surely his price has gone up since then.
Only way I see them actually asking for less is if they have serious financial problems. Which I donāt think they do.
His reputation and value may have gone up. But what Villa want is not the same as what someone will pay. Think about it, who needs someone in his position who will also spunk Ā£80m on it?
Cuz heās a huge fan of Ćzil and Saka and says he loves our stadium. Clearly a closet supporter.
Itās true that despite being a quality player whoās improving top clubs have similar players and arenāt in a hurry to sign one of his type or they have other priorities.

Yeah, exactly. Iām not dismissing his talent. I just donāt think any of the teams who can afford to blow Ā£80m on one player will see him as a priority. Hence why I think heāll end up going for less.
If we can get Jack, I will start to believe the owner is investing.
Of course, this wonāt change the fact that we still have shit management and shit manager, but at least it will be a start.

We got him from Everton and like @Stroller said, he was a great player for us. especially in the title winning season against Liverpool.
I canāt think of any players that weāve bought from Aston Villa, although we did sell Keown and Martinez to them.

Unlike Mahrez, for who you probably needed to pay more than 60 if you wanted to get him sooner from Leicester, I donāt think that will happen with Grealish since he truely is their golden boy. Being from Birmingham, at that club since age 6/7.
Nice, seeing gooners online thinking weāll get Grealish. Nice to joke about it but it definitely isnāt happening.
Also, has everyone moved on from Odegaard? Heās still our #1 target in the summer.

Grealish just makes a lot of sense for us. Other clubs have other players they will invest time in. Not per se better players, but buying him isnāt really justified for those clubs. Plus he plays on the left wing. But I think everyone realises itās near impossible to get him.

Odegaard is a decent enough player and has certainly been a good influence on our team.
But buying Gealsih would send a signal to our supporters and rival clubs that we really are an ambitious club, which is probably the reason we wonāt get him.
When your top target is a player you already have on loan, I think thatās when you realise the level weāre at.
