Jack Grealish

If we want him we’re gonna have to pay top dollar.

He’s getting better with each passing season and he just signed the new contract, don’t think they’d stand in his way but yeah he’s commanding circa £90mil at least. Let’s not forget English premium too.

For us that’d be worth it, if we managed to get CL football we’d have a genuine chance as other top teams don’t necessarily have players as good but they have similar types. However, since we’re being held hostage by this fraud Arteta it’s not even remotely possible.

Grealish can’t function in a rigid Arteta system. I think he’d end up being destroyed.

Cut inside, pause, pass it back.
The Arteta way.

We should pay anything for Grealish. Would be a signing of serious intent.

Somehow you still have faith and support the manager…

That’s a decent rap hook. Just need a beat now.

If Arteta was telling the truth, which is unlikely, and Kroenke has told him they are going to seriously back him in the transfer market then this would be the perfect signing.

He is proven top quality in the PL and is exactly the sort of player we need.
Just stop wasting money on players who have proved nothing apart from having great stats in inferior leagues and get the finished article from the PL

I’m not against signing Grealish for 70 million, but we shouldn’t expect to get money back for him tbh. That doesn’t really happen. It did when Inter signed Lukaku but that is because Conte is a fan.

But again. I would like us getting Grealish.

But ESR and Saka can?

Grealish would be a standout and save Arteta’s ass.

The fact ESR and Saka occasionally pull a rabbit out of their backsides is a miracle given how mind numbingly slow and predictable we are. I’m sure Grealish could do the same but Arteta might take him from a 1 goal/assist every 100 minutes to 1 goal/assist every 300 minutes or something like that.

You’re probably right haha but his impact isn’t just about numbers as he’s at the heart of everything and makes the final third tick to a higher level than those two.

But I suppose the point stands, doesn’t matter who we bring in he’d simply not get the best out of them.

Yeh I’m not saying it’s highly likely I’m just saying it’s something to consider and might not be as economically risky as people thought. Like if we had bought Suarez that time we probably would have been able to sell him on for a profit while reaping the rewards of a top striker.

I’m not saying it will happen but I do think Grealish is so good that you might actually make your money back plus more, unlike say the Lacazette or Aubameyang deals that just came at awful times both financially and for our football balance.

No chance of him signing for a club with no European football.

I don’t understand why people mentioning “making money” from him.

Let’s be honest, if he is bad, his value will depreciate and we will lose money.

If he is good, he will help us to win games and maybe even cups or whatsoever.
If we are going to win something… we are generating revenue from there, not by selling the player.
We want to keep his prime years with us. Why do we want to see him if that is the case??

Grealish is a gooner. Imagine having the chance to return your favorite club to their former glory.

Grealish only leaves Villa if he requests it. Villa won’t entertain any offer (unless it’s stupid money), and I don’t see Grealish burning his bridges so that a transfer could be pushed through.

Yeah, given the current climate I think he stays this summer. Next season will be important though. If Villa don’t push on then he’ll start considering it, and with 2 years left in his contract then Villa might have to cash in and invest.

Personally think Liverpool would be a great fit for him. He really needs to leave Villa it is time.

Would absolutely love him here.

Just incase anyone wonders what it would be like watching him play for us

I think we do have a similar video showing the sitters that Giroud missed.
