Jack Grealish

Bellerin is allowed an interest in football, now that he is no longer our concern.

fashion away Hecthor, fashion away

Omg, stop talking about that finished player. No one cares… :rage:

He didn’t even begin

Bellerin isn’t as good looking or talented as Grealish though.

Who is Bellerin sponsored by? H&M? There’s levels to this game son.

And it’s great to see Ornstein continue to bring us the football exclusives we so desperately crave. Fucker has gone from elite source to Tesco value brown sauce.

Not to be outdone, Harry Kane has signed a £150 cash deal to be the new face of this trophy shop.
It fits his profile perfectly because It’s empty, just like his trophy cabinet and is about as good looking. :grinning:

was he ever?
Not once I saw him break the news. He was convenient confirmation after 100 journalist stacked their reputation.

Am I the only one to think Grealish struggles to justify the hype before his move and his transfer fee?

He was good today.

He was excellent today and a lovely footballer to watch.
Likely League champion first season. Rip it up next season for sure.

Yeah, this is still my feeling. With City you actually can look beyond the transfer fee, because money basically is unlimited. If they’d signed him for Ā£50m and he had limited impact I suspect everyone would be more chill about him bedding in for a season, but at Ā£100m it’s a lot harder to not expect more from him right out the gate, for obvious and understandable reasons. But City actually can spend that much to secure him as a long term investment, with the quality and numbers they have in midfield/attack he really doesn’t have to have a tangible impact in his first season.

All of this is based on the assumption that he will perform better and be a more integral player next season, but I think he will.

I guess more than anything I’m saying that it’s too soon to evaluate his transfer to Man City and that you can probably only start to do that in about a year’s time.

They didn’t necessarily need to bring him in as they have similar players and the fee was far too much but he’ll be a very good player for them eventually.

He is a good age profile and versatile, he’ll become a better player under Pep. Difficult season for him but quite a few excellent players don’t hit the ground running at City only to become top players later.

Very good game and he killed Coufal all game long

He hasnt been that bad either. Had some good games but he is being judged on the fee alone. Pep is an education and with his skill level it can only go one way.

I think he would do better somewhere he is more focal and gets more minutes… he is brave and fun to watch. The fee was insane, but that is the EPL with City and ManU… I’d be happy with him on AFC, but we never had a chance with City sniffing.

Biggest thing with him is the productivity, he isn’t a finisher but he should be getting better numbers

A lot of misses in front of goal, needs to be more clinical but yeah fee is the biggest story for some

72m is enough of a reason for some to bash our players so don’t see why a different standard would apply here. 100m is hit the ground running money whatever City’s model.

What different standard, no one is saying he has justified the fee or has been good enough really

Difference is he won’t be a bust like your boy Pepe

Can only speak for myself, but I made excuses for Pepe for a lot longer than I’m saying I would for Grealish. At this stage Pepe is a certified failed transfer, you can’t say that for Grealish, and that’s without applying a different standard.
