It wasn’t long ago there were rumours of him being sold for around 80m, with top clubs interested but it’s unlikely he’l go for half that in the next window.

I was a lot more keen on Toney in January. Wouldn’t be adverse to him coming in as back up to Havertz.
West Ham should be all over Toney as their main transfer target in the summer. He would be a perfect striker and target man for them. It would be a step up from Brentford and would consolidate West Ham as a team who is looking to challenge for a European place.

Didn’t want us spending 100m on the guy and I’m relieved it looks like it’s not going to happen.
Does he still think a big club is going in for him in the summer?

Whatever the concerns are, he seems to have made the England squad and there’s plenty of interest in him.
Not that surprising of course as half the PL is looking for a striker and he can be a very affordable option.
Spurs and Man Utd are two of them.
Interesting to see which club he chooses if it came down to those two.
Spurs would probably offer him a starting spot whereas at Man Utd he’d have to compete with Hojlund.
Other than his age and price this was my hunch. One thing almost all players in the squad show a certain level of humility and willingness to play for their team mates.
He gives off a selfish vibe and even with that quote it’s all ‘me me me’.
