I think it cost him his potential move to Arsenal, but maybe not other clubs. That was Ivan’s opportunity to be humble, admit his mistakes, apologise and then move on. Yet he instead chose to use those moments to make excuses for his actions.
I just do not see that going down well with Arteta at all, because it really speaks to his character.
