Ivan Gazidis

He us good mates with the head of the investment group that owns AC Milan.

I think it’s almost certainly because he’s buddies with the firm that owns Milan.

The owners got a guy on the inside they’re comfortable with and he allegedly got a small ownership stake. Idk that it has anything to do with the firm being American based.

cynicism engaged but it’s probably just nepotism like in many other areas in society, once you’re ‘in’ you spend a bunch of time socialising with peers until you reach the point where you’re just board room jumping the rest of your life even if you’re absolutely shite at your job lol

Three fids explained.

I can’t believe anyone would still write that amount of words about Gazidis. Fair play.

Those points probably involved spending some money on good players and that would have bit into baldy’s bonus

Fuck RVP but proper fuck this guy.

Will be really interesting to see what happens with Ivan going forward. He ran Arsenal into the ground and managed to escape before it got really bad. He’s already managed to wear out his welcome in Milan. I don’t know who would hire him after this.

You can listen here: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/robin-van-persie/id1500444735?i=1000472007476

I don’t believe for a second we didn’t want RVP to sign a new contract. If it’s true we didn’t offer one it’s because Robin and/or his agent made it clear he wasn’t willing to sign a new contract.

Also when the interviewer asked ‘what were the 7 points’, his reply was ‘it doesn’t matter’. Well it completely does matter.

Disengenous. I’d rather he said ‘I wanted to move to a team where I could win the big trophies because it was my last chance and Arsenal weren’t spending the money needed to do that’.

He also said this:

“‘If I look back at that whole situation, I have to look at myself as well, where I could have done better or could have done something differently. If I look back, that open letter I shouldn’t have done that”

“There was more happening with Ivan of course and the way he behaved and the way he handled the whole situation.”

On announcing his decision in an open letter via newspapers: “That was because I was disappointed with Ivan and his behaviour.”

Admitting he didn’t handle the situation like he should.

He’s a cunt who’s spent the last few years trying to change the narrative to make himself look better.

The guy is a rat desperate for positive spin, Ramsey did the same thing.

Of course it’s hindsight. Doesn’t mean you can’t regret how you dealt with a certain situation?

He can pretend to regret it all he wants (which he doesn’t, because he got what he wanted) but that doesn’t mean I have to have a shred of empathy or understanding for him.

I believe him.

And Ivan is a massive cunt.

RVP may be genuinely regretting. But his regrets won’t change the truth he switched to one of our rivals though, will it. And why does he need to try change the narrative now? If you have been a cunt, atleast own it up. Not try to throw some light on it with bs.
Personally, forgive but don’t forget and so on. I hope he does well for himself and is loved well by United fans. I genuinely do. Just don’t try and expect to be a hero in the eyes of Arsenal fans’ too now.

Ivan though, he’s a level above all the other rats. The biggest rat of them all.

RvP probably regrets the way he handled he because he came across a massive cunt and it’s probably one of those cringe moments before you fall asleep for him.

He definitely doesn’t regret moving though :joy:

Yeah, and think it’s down to human nature too. Having spent so many years at Arsenal, he’d want atleast some form of love from Arsenal fans, which he’s probably realising now in hindsight he’ll likely never get. So he’s trying to justify his reasons and situation now to earn some sympathy, the massive fraud. :joy:

Since when do players get to dictate an entire football club’s strategy lol? Who the fuck does he think he is giving the CEO a 7 point plan?

Ivan is a moronic shitbag but in no world does a player get to tell a club’s hierarchy how it needs to be run. You can demand that quality players be signed from your manager but that’s probably the limit. I’m curious what these 7 points were.

Bottom line is we weren’t competing, he didn’t want to stay (which is completely understandable) but then he made some pathetic PR moves to make it look like he was forced into leaving etc. Bullshit.

Quite frankly, he did a very similar thing to what Cesc did and I forgave him a long time ago for that. RvP just handled it in completely the wrong manner, portraying himself as some sort of victim. Whoever advised him to do that should have been fired immediately.

He left for the same reason everyone else did, but his statement was just a poor attempt to save face.

After hearing that Cesc interview I’ve no doubt that RvP would have never stayed, unless maybe we’d spent £200m on 5 proven players.

If Cesc thought only Nasri and RvP were at his level, and that a lot of the rest of the squad didn’t give a fuck about winning, then I can’t believe that RvP didn’t have similar feelings, which would obviously be magnified by the fact that Cesc and Nasri both were allowed to leave and get replaced with Gervinho. He had to rely in Alex Song to be his creative force for fucks sake :joy:

RVP went about leaving in a shit way, but he probably realised back then that we were the kind of club that thought employing a guy like Unai Emery as manager was a good idea in 2018, so did what any logical being would do, and get the fuck out.
