Apparently it’s only a temporary measure so technically they’re borrowing it and because Israel said this, it must be true.

U.S. media is working overtime to create this narrative that somehow Assad has been replaced by a peace and democracy loving leader.
They did the same thing in Iraq when they made it look like Saddam was toppled by some sort of popular revolution rather than a run of the mill U.S. regime change operation.

American Christian’s, especially Evangelicals, are both staunch Zionists, Israel supporters and rabid antisemites.
My theory is it’s a lingering aspect of the brands of Christianity brought over from Europe. Many of the early colonists were religious extremists who were ostracized by European monarchies that were shifting to more moderate religious views.
I always have to laugh when I talk to some protestant christian in the US and they talk about christians and catholics. As if catholics aren’t christian. Catholicism together with Eastern Orthodoxy is literally the OG Christianity. In Protestantism there are 101821381241 branches, which one is right I always ask. Conveniently it is always the one they believe in 
In the end doesn’t matter to me as I consider all organised religion man made crap (note: not individual spirituality). Just a funny observation.
