mhappy reloaded
That seems a little broad. I’m sure there are some sickos out there who cheered it on but a majority? IDK.
Do you not understand the absurd futility of asking someone who they are on an anonymous forum.
If you agreed with my views you wouldn’t be asking me this. I came here because I support Arsenal but I also have other interests. And pre-dominantly posting about other issues because there isn’t a match on till Saturday and I have nothing to add by way of opinion as to who we are going to sign before the transfer window closes (if anyone)
Ok mate
Unfortunately Palestinians have been radicalised by decades of extremist leadership.
It wasn’t even just Hamas that conducted October 7th, unaligned Gazans joined in the “fun”
I hold no malice towards the Palestinian people , but Islamist/Jihadist ideology is corrosive.
Sitting there with a thesaurus for every post
Why does everyone who changes their IP address think they’re the first person to ever think of it?

Ffs I go away for a week 2 new members come here and blast their way through like a bull in a china shop with a very waggy tail and the other twat finally gets his comeuppance, we sign Raheem fucking Sterling and Declan Rice gets sent off for being fouled
This season is gonna be great
Hopefully this means the public pressure is too much for Bibi and he cuts a deal.
How likely is that though? Feels like he’ll just move more to the extreme rather than bowing to public pressure.
What does he have left to offer? It was his government’s security failure that led to 7 October. If the dual purpose of the war is to destroy Hamas and return the hostages, he’s failing on that front too.
I don’t think he’s had anything to offer for a long time
But the impending legal case against him is certainly going to make him hang onto power for as long possible, like he has been doing.
And it also feels inevitable that he will never do a deal for the hostages, because it feels like political suicide. Because if the hardliners turn on him, surely he’s finished?
You and me both.
This may be kind of inside baseball but when I was a kid there were four soldiers kidnapped in a raid. The government ransomed three of their bodies back and released just a ton of people in order to get the one living soldier back. There was just this understanding that even getting dead bodies back was worthwhile. I think that’s a big part of the civic myth Israelis like to believe about themselves. It’s why you may have seen slogans like “everyone for everyone” online, which is the idea that it didn’t matter who or how many people the Israeli government released as long as it secured the hostages from Hamas and any other groups who may have gotten the hostages from Hamas. That’s why I hope this is what cracks his coalition.
Bibi himself would probably never do a deal, I think you’re right. But I think there’s still enough people in Israel who are so invested in this idea of securing the hostages at any “price”, that it will trigger new elections.
I think he’ll hang on until 2026. And I’m not confident he loses either.
