That’s great you feel that way but you’re ignoring the war crime committing, apartheid elephant in the room.
Until that is addressed there is no moral justification for what Israel is doing and has done to the Palestinians.

Also this above reading of the situation is the commonly held narrative in highly pro-Israeli western media which is one of the reasons why this cycle of violence continues to repeat itself.

Neither is there any whatsoever moral justification for what Hamas is doing to innocent Israeli civilians. Slaughtering entire families, animals, babies, abusing dead bodies, all of it is inexcusable. They killed everyone in their way. Jews, non-Jews, pro-Palestinians, indiscriminately.
I still to this moment have no idea what their objective is. Because there is nothing positive that will come of this for them. Sympathy they had of many non-Muslims, they now lost. Any peace prospect or a solution to the problem, is now lost. They have achieved nothing, just carnage and as a reaction many Gazans have died and will die because of their senseless attacks.

Media as always is implying that the Israeli response is justified. Which it is not.

True they’ve achieved nothing but I’d argue all of those things—support, peace prospects etc. have been lost for a long time now are not due to the recent Hamas attack.

There is no evidence Shani Louk is alive. It’s just the word of Hamas to her mother. These sick fucks want to inflict further pain to these innocent people. By giving them hope. There is no way she is alive from the videos and images I have seen.
Also the IDF said babies have been beheaded.

No, in fact many non Muslims in Europe had sympathy for the Palestinian cause and are upset with the apartheid regime of Netanyahu.
But when such shameless murdering takes place. Well you lose that sympathy.
May I add, Hamas also blemishes their religion. Not a good look for any religion to go on killing sprees slaughtering innocents. So, all in all. They have accomplished only evil and done exactly zero for their cause.
They made sure they will be removed from Gaza for good.

I know a lot of emotions are involved right now because this is a shock for many, understandably. Violence, blood and killing etc. It’s too much. It was only last week I came across figures on the amount of Palestinians woman and Palestinians children that had died in the past 8 years (not even past 25 years), it was shocking.
The thing is, there is lots of misinformation on twitter about, especially since Musk taken over.
And IDF spokespeople are not to be trusted.
However the overall point is fair, as Hamas has been proven to have targeted unarmed civilians in other instances.
I’m on the side of the Saudis on this, who are facepalming at both sides for not managing to find a peace deal.

Honest question as I haven’t delved deep into Saudi’s so called peace negotiations but what is the motive or incentive for them to play mediator here?
That’s what Saudi said initially (3 days ago) but since then, this is what they had to say in the past 24 hours:
“Crown Prince also told Abbas the Gulf kingdom continued “to stand by the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate rights to a decent life, achieve their hopes and aspirations, and achieve just and lasting peace”, reported the official Saudi Press Agency.”
The normalisation between KSA and Israel has stopped as well. I think KSA know that Israel will response (already started - and as expected) so all the efforts to stabilise relations are now damaged which I suspect Iran/Hamas wanted to achieve.
They asked for it, they invited it…

Got to love the euphemisms of war.
Palestinians still have my sympathies as do the victims and their loved ones on the Israeli side. Hamas leadership and the Isreali state never did and never will.

I don’t lose sympathy for Palestinians. That is unwavering. Nothing Hamas does will dilute that.
It’s important to separate the innocent civilians from their religious zealots, on both sides.
