Israel/Palestine

It’s also widely established that the West sponsors terrorism across the own in its own way. Hamas has been propped up for years by Israel, the Americans funded and propped up the Mujahideen and gave lots of support to the rebel groups that killed Gaddafi. I can also think of Syria, Iran and a host of Latin American countries who had terrorist groups that were funded and/or created by America, UK and allies.

Iran prop up groups for their aims, America do the same for theirs. It is a Western mainstream media narrative to conveniently forget all the murderous rebel groups they have helped create so they could displace leaders or create chaos in certain regions.

Just feels like the criticism about Iran is because Iran are a threat to your way of life whereas when America do it the only people who suffer are people in the Middle East who nobody seems to give a shit about.

“These warmongering murderers are using our music without our consent,” Kapranos wrote in the Instagram story. “This makes us both nauseous and furious. Kind of typical though, isn’t it? To strut up and take what isn’t theirs with a vile arrogance…

tbf, I think the disdain is mutual

I’ve heard this story too, about Witkoff and Kushner. They’re real estate developers, what do you expect?

Nepotism. Only okay if the guys that Fox News loves are doing it.

I bet Jared’s shit at negotiating and will get rolled by every government he gets deals with. With a twice bankrupted, failed Casino-owner father-in-law teaching him everything he knows, what could possibly go wrong?

I find it a bit strange to believe that people fall for the ‘'Iran is evil / biggest sponsor of terror and we need to get rid’’ when there literally is a precedent of them (UK/USA) wanting to control Iranian oil/influence with the 1953 coupe and Mosadeggh being overthrown.

I don’t dispute anything that you’ve said, the question initially asked was how Iran is an antagonist towards the west. If someone argues that this behaviour doesn’t you’re arguing against facts and hard reality.

Although the average person doesn’t really think about these things in depth, I don’t think this is true generally speaking. The post 9/11 consensus within the west itself has been steadily hypercritical of western interventionism past and present, there tons of books and media exposing malign western (US) influence in the world.

I find people who attempt to soften the view on Iran very “strange” tbh. The autocratic theocracy of Iran led by the Mullahs is an evil one; that shouldn’t be a complicated thing to say or should acknowledging without further analysis of the West.

Sure, no one disputes or denies that Western interventionism has led to failure more often that not across the world but lets not get confused about things. How does any of the excuse the antagonistic behaviour of Iran today?

Even by the standards of other ME nations Iran is an antagonist.

Omid Djalili in the mud. Omud Djasilly more like.

Imagine thinking it’s just as likely that Iran murdered 150 plus school girls and then kept them on ice for months just in case Israel and the US decided to bomb them, so they could then set up a false flag bombing attack - versus believing the US and Israel might recklessly (and many would say “recklessly” is incredibly generous) bomb a country and kill civilians.

It takes an insane adherence to Western propaganda to think that the two are similarly likely explanations.

This is a bigger fuck up than when Obama ordered that drone strike on a wedding.

And no one will hold them accountable.

You seen the video of that journalist telling Trump that he’s the only person I’m his own government who is suggesting that Iran got hold of a tomahawk missile and killed their own people with it. And be basically said “I don’t know enough about it” for justification as to why he’s pointing the finger at Iran.

We’ve got Netanyahu the devil releasing statements urging Iranians to take control of their country and rise up just like they did back in the 90s after the first Gulf War and when the Shia and Kurdish Iraqis tried it and got obliterated American and it’s allies were nowhere to be seen in helping them.

These people are evil because not only do they not actually care about the well being of Iranians they know full well most Iranians do not like them anyway and would not fight a war on their behalf. The Iranians being angry at their own leadership does not mean they want Israeli and American help

That was fucking embarrassing, but that orange fuck really doesn’t give a shit and has the audacity to then question the motives and personality of any person challenging him. Guys a fucking nutter, was endorsing fucking Jake Paul for a political position earlier today.

not sure where to put this

It always disgusts me that some people treat all Jewish people to be evil Zionists.

Here’s as good as anywhere. It’s inevitable that there will be a uprising of antisemitic violence as dangerously confused people with access to guns conflate the murderous regime in Israel with those who practice the Jewish faith.

Shocking that innocent people anywhere are dying because of this latest illegal war.

The only violence I’ll condone is against the blood thirsty leaders who are endangering civilians and their own foot soldiers on both sides.

Thankfully it looks like nobody got hurt, other than the guy in the car.

I doubt the identified culprit will care about the distinction between a Jew and a Zionist, especially since Zionists often openly identify themselves as Jews. More importantly, the suspect reportedly lost his children and other family members in the recent Israeli airstrikes in Masghara, Lebanon.

When innocent civilians, especially children, are killed, it inevitably fuels anger, creates more enemies, and leads to further cycles of violence.
