Israel/Palestine

Missile heading for Turkey shot down. In this day and age I wouldn’t put that past the Americans or Israelis to try to coerce NATO into being more active in attacking Iran.

I honestly didn’t know Iran was a bigger producer of Terrorists than Pakistan

Oh boy, I ain’t touching this one.

I’ve no thoughts on that beef :joy:

Sweet sweet liberation

Just because the media keeps hammering this phrase doesn’t mean it’s true.

Who created the Mujahideen that then morphed into Alquida and the Taliban? Who trained these same terrorists on their own soil? Who topples government’s and creates power vacuums where militants take over? Who appointed an ISIS leader to rule Syria? Who sends defectors to assassinate leaders of other nations?

Iran is the biggest state sponsor of terror?? Turn off the TV man.

How is this not terrorism?

Blowing up schools full of young girls. Also not terrorism? Hospitals and infrastructure not terrorism?

The anti-repression merchants couldn’t give two shits about it beyond a cudgel they can beat critics with.

It’s an oopsie

I get you’re against US imperialism and all that lark but don’t Down go down the @Forever path in ignoring hard realities about openly evil regime just so you can bash the West.

Its widly established Iran sponsors terrorism across the globe. It’s not a western mainstream media narrative.

Hey, we’re not ignoring Israel!

Or to use US military speak “an anomalous dispatch of ordnance”.

More people learn the more they hate it.

Intelligence certainly helps if you’re an MP, but it’s definitely not required.

Kemi Badenoch really is monumentally stupid. Imagine what she would be doing right now if she were PM.

I give credit to Starmer for the general approach of not getting involved.

I saw that ghoul Blair took a shot at him

There is no greater injustice than Blair escaping prosecution for the Iraq war. And it’s disgusting he’s considered an important part of peace in the Middle East with that peace board shit

I wish Starmer had had a bit more backbone about it. Like, he had a chance to look a lot stronger in front of the electorate there in a way that he never manages on domestic matters. He might actually have impressed someone.

Public opinion was clearly with his decision (for once), so why not actually own it?

On Blair, its almost funny how little understanding he seems to have of how toxic he still is. Like, you got away with being an evil war criminal man, you should take that win and disappear out of everyone’s sight forever.

I just don’t know about Starmer. He probably doesn’t want to be involved. But say hypothetically U.S/Israel “topples” the regime he’ll be right front and centre giving an oratory masturbation about how great that it happened. Making it all redundant once he agrees with the outcome.

First of all it’s been widely established the use of nebulous terms like “terrorism” and “evil” have been used to justify some of the worst atrocities of the past century. Every time western powers want to pull a smash and grab for resources the media machine drags out these terms in order build public consent.

Western imperialism has always relied on framing its violence as bringing civility to uncivilized people. The same narrative doesn’t work anymore because everyone can see the naked criminality of the entire thing. We have a plethora of examples.

The ones openly supporting this illegal war will support any and every similar war. Their logic is might makes right. It’s also western chauvinism, i.e. white supremacy when you boil down all the empty civility rhetoric.

I don’t think he does at all. And then an RAF base was attacked.

Apparently he wanted to be involved but Ed Miliband said no.
