The initial decision to not allow the US to use our bases was indeed the correct one. But once the scale of Iran’s response was clear, and UK assets and people were under threat, then I’m not sure he had that much choice.

Yep, just heard a press conference from the closeted House Minority Leader Mike Johnson indicating that Israel initiated the entire thing.
They’re also shifting the narrative from nuclear weapons to Iran manufacturing any weapons
