What I meant by barren was that a large proportion of land was empty. No one lived there or did any sort of farming. Uncultivated & uninhabited land mass were like 80% of the whole modern day Israel+Gaza+West Bank.
There was enough room for both sides to live on if there was a motivation from both sides to do so.
If Jews & Palestinians wanted a dedicated space, there was enough landmass to be split without there being any displacement.
‘Tehran will burn’ if missiles do not stop - Israeli defence minister published at 11:36
Israel’s defence minister, Israel Katz, has said “Tehran will burn” if Iran continues to launch missiles.
In comments made during an assessment with military officials, Katz says: “The Iranian dictator is turning the citizens of Iran into hostages and creating a reality in which they, especially the residents of Tehran, will pay a heavy price for the criminal attack on Israeli civilians.”
You can’t make these people up
“Stop bombing us and allow us to bomb you freely. If you don’t allow us to bomb your capital city and kill innocent civilians then we’ll have no choice but to escalate our attacks”
I wouldn’t necessarily say UK were ‘dragged’ into this. They were already willingly involved from the very start and have been surprisingly open about it.
The F35 jets used by Israel against Iran are actually manufactured and produced by two of UK’s finest defence companies, one being BAE systems.
I saw clips of that, very odd scenes all round. Obviously the border is restricted, did they just think they could turn up and enter Gaza at will because they’re western activists?
Egyptian authorities and Egyptian people generally don’t fuck around.
No, they 100% knew that they would be prevented from doing so. Just like the flotillas don’t actually think that they can break the Israeli Naval blockade in their small boat.
Speaking of Egypt, one thing I’ve really enjoyed and been #triggered by in almost equal measure is the insistence from the zionist camp that Egypt is being evil or somehow anti-muslim/Palestinian for not opening its borders to allow Gazans in.
Yeah, we know why you want them to do that and we also know why Egypt won’t:
they don’t want to assist in ethnic cleansing.
they are very, very aware that if the Gazans leave they will never be allowed to return and Gaza will become Kushner’s Disneyland.
