Just bought another 10 shares of AMC before opening bell here in the US. Gotta get it before the price goes up.

Just put in a kill or fill order of £500 on Nokia.

Been on my watch list for years with their 5G involvement and the ban on Huawei. If they don’t meme today or next week I hold long term which I’ve been meaning to do anyway.

Oh god 🤦🏼

You just have a spare £500 not bad lol

I always like to have a “rainy day” fund of around a few months salary in it, so just dipped into that. Bit irresponsible but figured it’s a good opportunity as market volatility at this level doesn’t always come round very often haha

Yeah.

£11 in commission, £11 in fx charges. Obscene.

I’ll be switching over to IG in the coming weeks, they have free us trades if you trade at least 3 times a month.

:joy: Please don’t hurt me if it goes tits up

I’ll say the good thing about Nokia is that it’s actually a legit company so even if it doesn’t blow up today or next week, over the long run I still think it’ll do well.

Huawei has gotten banned from a lot of the 5G hardware rollouts in Europe and the US and literally the only other companies with that kind of 5G expertise is Ericsson and Nokia.

I genuinely think that AMC is just a meme play. It’s another company that looks like it’s going to really struggle in the future - they had to raise $900m last week/month to stop from going under and it doesn’t look like cinemas will open any time soon.

Hence I’m going for Nokia haha

Haha honestly I don’t care about the outcome I’m just following you. If I make money then :tada: if not then I don’t even care lol

That’s the best attitude to have - as long as you aren’t investing more than you can afford to lose, that’s basically the sweet spot.

@cristo does HL mean Hargreaves Lansdown? I don’t know what’s best to use

These memes are going a long way to hype people up!

@Gio Yeah HL is Hargreaves Lansdown.

They’re reliable and steady but quite expensive.

My friend is on IG and he loves it and it’s reasonably priced.

Yeah I’ve been messaging a couple users on here, I have a decent sum of savings, I’d be fine chucking a few hundred into something.

In what way expensive, commission etc or per transaction?
