Yeah, this always looked likely. As long as City are envisioning a straight Kovacic for Gundogan replacement and don’t suddenly get involved on Rice, I’m perfectly happy with it.
Arteta knew this. He just offered a deal to stall Gundogan’s decision. Giving us more time to complete Rice.
Tbh, I couldn’t care less about Gundogan. It’s Rice I’m worried about.
