The best 2.5m we’ve spent.
Graham was the tightest manager in the league and he rarely bought flair players.
The biggest signing before that was Seaman so for us to get such a great striker was an amazing signing.
This is a brilliant story
Fans and Wrighty good sports dishing it and recieving it
A TRUE legend
Love Ian Wright Wright Wright
Got done watching The Chase and saw them advertising a series called Out of Their Skin, it’s Ian Wright looking at the history of black footballers in Britain. Its on at 11.15 tonight on ITV, bit late for me but stuck it on series record.
Could they not have given it something better than the graveyard shift lol
That’s exactly what I said to my girlfriend, they’ve fucking buried it lol
Well there’s the ITV hub though.
True, did say I’ve got it on series record, I’m not complaining about being personally inconvenienced or anything.
Was a very good watch @JakeyBoy.
He would be brilliant as a team captain on A Question Of Sport.
Don’t be ridiculous Ian.
Players are maintaining protocols and regularly getting tested, yet we have so many positive cases.
Now you want irresponsible crowd to come to stadiums?
What about socially distanced semi filled stadiums with masks?
Love Wrighty but this is complete idiocy. We’re getting covid outbreaks in football even with heightened precautions and constant testing of players and staff. You want to add hundreds of thousands of screaming fans packed in together every weekend? Come on now, be serious.
I think you can safely have fans in stadiums, but it would be have to be a severely reduced number.
Numbers which would do absolutely nothing to create an atmosphere I might add.
Fans are not professionals to adhere to whatever norms are suggested and then the norms can only be enforced within the stadium. They are still going to crowd the same streets, same stations, same washrooms.
We don’t know how to navigate this virus.
Only when we have decided to live with this virus should we pursue bringing fans in.
If you’re opening everything up, then I can understand why people would say why not football too.
However we’re clearly on the cusp of shutting everything down, so obviously we’re not going to open up football.
No, just a couple of thousand. 3,000 are allowed inside the Royal Albert Hall, so that’s over 50% capacity. But outside football grounds can’t have 20% or even 10% capacity?
That’s the issue here. Football has been treated differently to other venues. Some football clubs lower down the chain are on the verge of going bust.
I probably agree with all of you to some extent.
Get fans in, in a phased and timely fashion, but not yet. Not when we’re potentially on the verge of another nationalised lockdown.
In the meantime, the breakaway PL continues to subsidise the football league
It would look like a Man City game in the early rounds of the CL.
