If you listen to the actual audio, what she said was not that bad.
She should have been wise to cover her bases but I think she was making a general harmless statement but forgot to add a disclaimer for her Ian Wright bit. It was fleeting comment on Ian Wright and immediately jumped on larger point of male pundits taking female punditry jobs.
The quotes look worse on paper but the actual conversation has the tone, you can hear her contemplate etc.
I would have felt bad if someone lost her career if she was anyone else, without her history.
Am I also right in thinking that it was the interviewer who brought up Wright specifically, rather than Aluko deciding to bring his name into the convo?
To be fair, after hearing the whole segment, she was set up a little. The host kept repeating Ian Wright’s name and Eluko took the bait.
If this were her only crime, you’d probably ignore it.

This is the one that’s being rereleased at some point this season. Sadly it doesn’t comply with current kit rules so it’ll be a fans only release.
While it’s not my favourite, I lost my original short sleeved version so I’ll be buying it. Hopefully they’ll also reissue the excellent blue and red drill top from that collection.
I’ve wanted a legit one from the 90s for some time, but have never seen one at anything spproaching a semi-reasonable price, so I’ll probably cop this.
I have it from the arsenal store its just missing the adidas logo but everything else looks spot on
It’s probably a good time to snap one up on the cheap from the store. The official adidas one will no doubt cost more than £80 when it drops.
