At this point we should just go back to the old offside rules.

At this point we should just go back to the old offside rules.
Be better if they made new, simpler ones that actually made sense.
I mean the old, old rules i.e if one of your players is in an offside position when the ball is played, then itâs offside. No matter who the ball is played to.
That would cut down on the drama, and the drama is the product.
I donât buy that. I donât buy that the games rulemakers are that invested in something intangible like that. I just think they are fucking useless.
Yes I think it all comes down to them just being bad at their job. And for every mistake they make it gets worse, because theyâre so nervous to make more mistakes. Endless cycle.
VAR was invented for this reason.
I thought the ref was pretty decent today. Didnât listen to Old Age Citizen Kane whining about every decision, let the play go and also let a few decent tackles go. Iâd have hated them to have gone down to 10 men and have an excuse for a beating. so well done ref.
Thankfully, the VAR official was quick to signal to the ref that the dive at the end of the first half was in no way a penalty.
He did have a good game. Played advantage and pulled up things gone before.
Enabled us to maintain our pace throughout.
It was a competent performance but not a typical derby style of game or difficult to officiate. I think thatâs mostly on how we handled the first half to be honest and the two goal lead going into the second, we were calm and their focus was on trying to get back into it.
We did a decent job at keeping them out of our box too. Always helps against that lot.
Yeah was pretty decent. Only issue I have is Gabriel getting a yellow card for antics but Richarlison somehow escaping caution for the 46 incidents he was involved in/created.
And Romero somehow managing to stay on the pitch.
Yeah they were good today and let in flow for the most part, the two that were missed from my point of viewâŚ
Partey should have got a yellow for the hand ball early.
Romero should have got a 2nd yellow for the foul on XhakaâŚ
I donât really subscribe to this rhetoric, but I felt this was too good not to share
The FA are racist and they donât like that Arsenal started bringing black players to prominence. Or foreign players to prominence.
And I use the Crewe manager stuff as evidence for that more than the above.
But genuinely the lack of consistency is baffling
When we got charged, and Newcastle didnât, it was clear which way the wind was blowing.
It does make me wonder how they can genuinely stand by their decisions being on the side of right itâs laughable.
The the fuck governs and challenges the FA of theyâre in the wrong? Managers canât?

Just as well, cos the above seems like total bollocks lol
Wasnât sure of best place to put this.
This just seems like an obvious thing to do. Always feel like the Germans are streets ahead on stuff like this.
