Howard Webb and his Cabal of Cunts

Yep, Dalot send off was a joke. One card, okay fair enough, whatever, but he basically got carded twice for the same 5 second sequence. It wasn’t even two different incidents like with Martinelli.

Wasn’t there a period when we were getting a lot of cards and there were thought pieces out on how this is all Arteta’s erratic approach and someone should do something before it’s too late?

Ange’s tactics depend on flying around and tackling everything in sight, so no surprise that this will yield a lot of cards.

Beyond the reds, Bissouma and Udogie have both missed matches for yellow card accumulation and are currently on 5, so are in real danger of receiving the two match suspension if they get to 10 prior to match 33. And Romero and Sarr are both currently sitting on 4 so will get a one match suspension if they get booked in either of the next two games.

Going back to my “Wanker in the black” days, I can tell you that Michael Oliver reacted with as much emotion as Dalot did by awarding those two yellows. The thing is, Michael Oliver has to be above that and the Referee’s Cabal should be disciplining Oliver for that loss of personal control.

I’ve been there, petulantly not awarding a stonewall penalty to some little shit who’d been moaning at me all match. It was about that time that I started to wind-down my time in the middle, because it takes a really strong character even on park pitches.

If you can’t be honest, can’t remain calm and can’t protect the 22 players on the field of play, fuck off out of the game. So I did.

And when I think how often one of our players is given a yellow for their first fouls in a game

It’s to avoid making a grey area decision related to tThe corner routine where a player touches the ball in corner area and then other player comes to take it without the need to kick it long.

Interesting. Must have got a shout from the ref or something cos linos are usually strict on not touching the ball.

We don’t get that decision

No chance we get that…but it would 100% be given against us

Still stand by this one?

That Villa penalty vs. ours is very, very dubious.

Yea. Of course i do. Haven’t seen the Villa pen though thats not gonna change my mind.

I do feel like West Ham’s first goal against us, had it been scored in the same circumstances at Anfield or Old Trafford, would have been correctly chalked off due to being out of play.

Maybe VAR don’t want referees to endure the home “baying mob” which is tenfold at those two grounds.

It just feels shitty that there is no consistency in crap, incorrect decisions.

It wouldn’t have been given in the first place. I think the AR flags for the ball going behind and then the burden of proof shifts to having to find an image of the ball in play.

Absolutely.

I do feel like opposition goals are treated as “guilty until proven innocent” at those two stadia.
