Yep agreed - but I’d hate to see this nonsense happen again. Likely this all blows over and nothing happens though… but boycotting is just cutting our nose off to spite our face.
Yeah, weak mentality. Nothing will happen to him.
Part of the Armenian army. Give me a proper example.
I would of liked to have seen Mkhitaryan play, score and then set fire to the Azerbaijani flag.
This is fucked up, our player being intimidated by a sporting host and worse some of our fans aren’t particularly bothered.
Are you suggesting that violence against Armenians is exaggerated?
I think with that particular post he is saying that a serviceman and internationally famous celebrity are kinda different. That pointing to a serving member of the armed forces being murdered isn’t necessarily the best indicator as to the threat level a celebrity sportsman might face.
I can see that point, however I wouldn’t want to be seen to align myself to his general position, because I do think this is a big deal and don’t think Mkhi would be a coward for not going. Far from it in fact.
This is all the way messed up… (From the link posted above about the Serviceman)
On 16 April 2006, the court sentenced Safarov to life imprisonment without possibility of appeal until 2036.[5] The judge, Andras Vaskuti, cited the premeditated nature and brutality of the crime and the fact that Safarov showed no remorse for his deeds as the reasons for the sentence.[5][10] On 22 February 2007, a Hungarian court upheld the ruling following an appeal filed by Safarov’s lawyer.[11]
In late August 2012, however, Hungarian authorities agreed to release and extradite Safarov to Azerbaijan to serve the remainder of his sentence there. Though the Hungarian government stated that it had received assurances from the Azerbaijan government that the sentence would be enforced, President Ilham Aliyev issued a pardon immediately upon Safarov’s arrival to Baku and ordered that he be “freed from the term of his punishment.”[12] Safarov has since been promoted to the rank of major and provided with accommodations by the Azerbaijan government.
Except it’s not contained to servicemen. Just ask Hrant Dink and Onno Tunc’s memorial. Azerbaijan and Turkey see Armenians the same way Nazi Germany saw the Jews.
He was responding to the example given, which was exclusively about military personnel, hence him asking for a different example.
Which you appear to have given to be fair.
Are you serious? So, his life doesn’t matter because he’s in the military? He was murdered in his sleep because of his nationality. He wasn’t invading Azerbaijan, he was in Hungary learning English. The murderer was pardoned in Azerbaijan and celebrated as a hero. Military or not has fuck all to do with it.
He’s acting the hard man on the internet lol don’t rise to the bait
What a disaster of a post. If you cant see the difference between a member of the Armenian Army and an athlete i see no purpose in futher discussion.
LordBendter is absolute worthless poster on any topic to be fair.
@Mods can’t we just ban him and bring Luca back as an exchange for the greater good?
What have you disliking my posting quality got to do with mkhitaryan you little piece of shit ?
Can you stream this fight? OA Box Office has a good ring to it
It’s kind of relevant to any thread you spout your worthless opinion tbf. Everyone thinks you’re a wanker lad.
Tis almost fundraising season!!
You will have to read my “wortless” post for years to come. I aint going nowhere !
I might start to up my posting numbers just to annoy emotionally unstable persons like you.
It’s farcical that Mhki has to miss a game of this magnitude due to reasons such as this. He could have potentially started or would have definitely played a role off the bench, it’s a joke we don’t havd a healthy player available due to these circumstances.
