Sounds like youre taking all the right precautions. Good luck bro.
Good luck my man and stay safe.
Looking forward to some good progress pics.
Late to the party but got myself a fitbit last week and love it. The battery life is incredible. I charged it to 100 percent last Monday when I got it and its still going strong 7 days later on that same charge the sleep tracker is cool aswell.
Also got a treadmill to get my steps in during the dark season we have now entered.
Proper fitness wanker now
Headphones for the Treadmill mate. Podcasts or music helps a lot.
Has anyone had a full blood work up? Any recommendations?
Yeah I did it recently through a company called “the blood lab”. Was well worth the money I spent.
Medichecks have always been most people I know go to company though. They do a really good hormone panel.
Yeah I’ve been thinking about getting this done as well.
Wouldn’t getting a full physical, getting all my vitals etc. checked out as well.
I’ve had this latest bout of whatever the fuck is going around (Strep A) since boxing day, sinuses blocked, swollen glands, serious night sweats, bad head aches, sensitive to light, sensitive facial hair and on top of that a fucking gum infection so haven’t been able to eat properly aside from soup, which is torture, have lost around 6kgs in weight over the last two weeks, have been off work since boxing day as its really knocked me for six.
I’m my own worst enemy though and am not looking after myself properly not enough rest and not eating properly, obviously Christmas was manic and my line of work (chef) December is the busiest month of the year, worked pretty much 80 hour weeks for the entire month and completely failed to prepare myself properly for it, I’m not getting any younger either (turn 40 this year) and had a bit of a scare in the summer with kidney stones (again, put this down to not looking after myself and my line of work) , it’s a strange feeling being ill and living by yourself, it’s scary, especially when you see people around you of similar or younger age being diagnosed with terrible things.
I’m lucky that I do have someone in my life that in times like this helps me out a lot but I really do need to start re-assesing what the fuck I’m doing to myself physically.
Yeah man please start taking better care of yourself and listening to your body.
No job is worth wearing yourself down to the nub like that, some time off is really what your body needs otherwise it won’t get better.
I’ve decided I drastically want to cut down my intake of booze and energy drinks which has gotten totally out of whack recently especially as I know I’m not getting any younger and want to try and take better care of myself as I get older.
First half marathon of the year down today. Aiming for that distance once a month while I build up to Dublin Marathon in October.
Chester gets the glory as usual though.
Nice medal. I’ve never had a medal that good for any race I’ve done
Yea really quality medals. Third time running this race and all three were lovely.
23.5km in 54mins40s during a spin class yesterday. A new PB.
I only had one cup of coffee today. A new PB
Only 1 cup ? u mad? Please measure your heart rate pls.
When I wake up
Thats a lot of walking. I hope you were treated to some Sunshine on Leith for a decent portion of it.
I respect the time you took between the original like and coming back with a proclaimers pun
