Thanks man

Been making some excellent gains (as good as I can with what I have at home) and now today I’ve woken up with a pretty horrible lower back pain again.

Been a real struggle to put some socks on this morning! I hate lower back issues.

Time to start stretching mate

Strengthen your core and glutes. I used to get it playing hockey but then I worked hard as hell on my core and glutes and it’s gone.

Had two bœreks today after work and went to the gym straight away after the two month coronabreak…
The other day I wanted to comment in that discussion about bands vs conventional weights how all that is not important, but yeah… no… There’s nothing without the barbell. :laca: Everything else is just a handicap, that’s just my experience so far. I love my kettlebells but the barbell is the king.

Didn’t lose any strength during the break… not that I had much tbf. :pepe1:

Introduce a yoga session into your daily routine. Even 30min a day will do wonders.

Jealous you can go to the gym man. I had to settle for 45 min dumbell work in the garden and a 4km walk today. At least the weather is banging.

I didn’t even realise what I was missing all the time…
Oh yeah, to pull that fucking deadlift off the floor… :giroud2: That’s definitely the feeling I missed the most.

Just to have the barbell in your hands :giroud2: It’s just so good when it touches your hands. :giroud2: :henry2:

Sorry @SRCJJ reading this must feel like hell to you :gabriel:

The other day I had a dream I was in the gym and I could hear the iron clanging against each other and I could hear Mobb Deep on the speakers.

In other words I’m fucking burning seeing the rest of the world returning to the gym lol

@Stroller

How’s the speed rope treating you mate?

Superb mate. Reps much higher and controlled now.

Excellent! Yeah it’s amazing how much better it is and how much more stuff you can actually do.

Next step is cross overs, high knee sprints, and double unders

I did these this morning. Absolutely wrecked me. Managed 70 and then had to move on to regular burpees (I managed 180 of those).

My core already hurts.

70 of the 3? So 210 press ups basically and burpees in there?

After I did that 100 (so 300 press ups essentially) my whole body was fucked, loved it.

Thinking of Laura Kuenssberg all the way.for inspiration.

Yep! I’ve been religiously smashing over 300 pushups every day since lockdown so chest held pretty well.

@Stroller it’s always easier to smash out the burpees when I’ve got this image printed on my mat :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

How’s the chest looking then? Like @SRCJJ has said, optimal muscle growth is from lifting, at least moderately heavy, but your approach will still bear results for sure. I saw one guy did very light lateral raises for a year and his shoulders were about an inch and a half/two inches bigger, same with neck raises.

A strong and thick neck can finish off a great physique, so I’m trying to get those in where I can. Helps for hockey too when you get checked against the boards your head doesn’t get wobbled about and do serious internal damage
