Granit Xhaka

I wouldn’t let Xhaka go for less than 20m though. In a way I’m kind of conceding he has some value saying that.

What I’d really admire would him not being a braindead cunt on a regular basis for four seasons.

He isn’t. Get rid of this shit opinion.

In an ideal world Granit fucks off to Roma and we get Neves/Tielemans and Douglas Luiz in.

Deep down even @Phoebica agrees with this.

Definitely admire his ability to pick his nose over watching the ball

We need to sign 2 CMs already. Selling Xhaka means we’d have to buy 3, and that third one would need to be experienced as well.

Would leave us too much to do when we already need 2 quality forwards and a versatile fullback. And possibly a CB if Saliba doesn’t come back.

He’s benefitted from not having to be the main midfielder. Deferring to Partey has helped him a lot.

There’s a part of me that is really happy that he’s turned it around. Given him a shed load of abuse on here, but he’s kept his head down and put in some real graft for the club this season. Can’t deny him that.

Will always remember him telling the fans to fuck off though, and pointedly taking the shirt off. I get that he was the subject of a lot of abuse, but that’s the nature of football at times. You take your £100k a week and you have to bite your tongue when you get criticism. Crazy that he has come back from that. Can’t think of many players who ever have.

I feel like as typical football fans we can be a little too critical on the down swings and too forgiving on the ups. However with the likes of Laca, Xhaka, Elneny there’s been about 6 years of down swings, infuriatingly consistently.

We have a month of football left here to get CL, I’ll judge how he performs for the next few games whether I want him here, even as 3rd or 4th choice

He’s absolutely not good enough though that’s clear as day. He needs to be moved on this summer and if he is kept he cannot feature regularly as a starter.

Good enough for what though? He is good enough for the level we are at. He is good enough for our first XI. I feel like when people say he isn’t good enough, they are raising the bar for our club a lot

Do you think he’s good enough for the CL?

The dynamic in midfield doesn’t change till he’s gone.

Again, for who? You seen some of the shit who qualify for the CL?

Is he good enough for Man City? No. Is he good enough for us in the CL next season. Absolutely. He isn’t our weakness.

For where you want us to be in the CL? First off good enough to help get us in, then good enough to carry us further in to the competition.

I’m talking Coquelin levels of good

Agree, but please stop this Luiz propaganda. He’s just as wack.

Like Ozil, at this point I want Xhaka gone just so we can stop talking about him.

Coquelin is doing well.

And where I want us is winning the thing, which means none of our players are good enough.

Yes and the level we are at is not the level we want to aspire to continue playing at. He’s a clear and obvious weakness in the middle of the park because his all round game isn’t strong enough

I don’t want to continue playing with someone who isn’t a great passer (despite that allegedly being his best trait) and someone who doesn’t have the mobility or speed of thought.

He’s a decent midfielder who’s had a decent season by his own outrageously low standard but he’s still clearly not someone who should be starting games for Arsenal on a weekly basis.

CM is a priority position after striker for an upgrade.

And you think so because?

And who in our team is?

He was getting twined when we played them and huffpuffing after the ball. Doesn’t stand out to me at all in anything that we would want.
