I just really donāt like Xhaka. I honestly think heās a bit of a cunt.
They showed that footage on Sky Sports News again today of him insulting our fans. Had to actually blur his mouth out and shit. I mean, Iām trying to think of another instance this has happened in football, ever. Even Pogba doesnāt do it to United fans and heās probably got enough excuse to do it given the abuse he gets.
That should have been that with Xhaka. Instead, heās still here. When we could have got Berge.

Iām happy for him to stay as long as we sign a better starting CM to partner Partey, but I doubt Xhaka would be happy for that.
I want to see this club competing for the EPL and CL titles and although Xhaka is a decent player we wonāt be anywhere near that level with him as a starter.
Weāve all seen a lot of Man City and Liverpool over the last 5 years. So we should all know full well the sort of level thatās required.

Please donāt misunderstand me. I want him gone, I donāt think heās turned some corner or anything like that. He puts a ceiling on how good we can be. Iām just trying to be realistic. Arteta loves him, heās under contract and I think the team will be afraid to move him on this summer.

Heās been good lately. This is a good thing for us and him.
The problem is heās got enough of a track record that itās not exactly unfair of me to suspect a big mistake is around the corner.
If heās truly ironed it out of his game, fair play. But dude was giving interviews lately saying heās never going to change. Whether itās fair or not, heās a target for refs and isnāt good enough imo to outweigh that type of liability.
If keeping him means signing top tier talent, then fine. The club wonāt sign three midfielders this summer.
