Granit Xhaka

Yeah, cos if it had happened at the other end of the pitch it’d be pretty hard to argue that it was the denial of a clear goalscoring opportunity for Liverpool.

Net Negative

February is close lads and lasses. Hang on just a bit longer.
We’re going from Xhaka-Torreira-Ceballos to Partey-Arthur-Odegaard.

Liquid football is back home.

One of his early games wasn’t it? Can’t say the warning signs weren’t there

I’m sure that Burnley game was January 2017

Xhaka was signed the summer of 2016

Oh I’m more than aware of that. Possibly the Swansea game I’m mixing it up with if that was same season. I definitely remember him looking like a plodder early on, and a sending off that had me thinking just what the hell have we signed here

Yeah that was Swansea I think.

How guy has survived 5 years is criminal :weary:

Will be six by end of this season. Six years where, other than Partey, we haven’t signed anyone to upgrade on a capable but obviously limited player. Criminal

Thanks for putting the transfer sums in that post, really helps with your point.

And White and Ramsdale are responsible for the goal, you said?

first of all, welcome back

second:

for what exactly.

The situation happening or that he clumsily kicked a dude in the chest and got a red card in an attempt to solve the situation.

For the former I’m not sure you’re right either way, if a CB decides to push forward a MF can drop to take his place, that happens all the time in every game, I don’t know if this is the case though I don’t remember, or

For the latter, I am not sure you are talking about the same thing as everyone else, which seems to be how he acted there regardless of how the situation happened.

Was that the one where Evans wrestled Auba to the ground last man? That would have been a proper 1v1 and more of a red than this.

There is a bias against Arsenal and especially Xhaka. Refs use players ‘reputation’ to make decisions. That’s why they are all rancid cunts.

Seriously?

No doubt about it

What % of blame does Xhaka deserve though?

There’s no real doubt his play can be sloppy and full of unforced errors

Yeah Xhaka is a clumsy cunt and doesn’t make life easy for himself. On this occassion Oliver had his red card in his hand whilst the ball was still in the air.

Does anyone honestly believe Van Dijk would have got sent off for this yesterday?

Whether he’s unfairly targeted or not this guy has never received a red card that wasn’t at least worth a discussion for being a sending off offence.

That to me says he’s constantly giving the referee a decision to make. Even against Man City when Bernardo dived in the box, he’s sticking a leg out and pulling the guys shirt. He’s basically begging the referee to have a decision to make.

You won’t find another active football player who is culpable of as many errors in judgment at such a high level as him. It’s simply inexcusable.

It’s not the referees, it’s not the FA, it’s not the team. He is simply a bonafide idiot

Most players don’t blindly lash out with a wild kick in that situation - they apply pressure and if the guy can control that very tough long ball and beat the onrushing keeper then fair play. Jota’s touch would have to be immaculate to have got a decent shot away.

If that’s Salah then I’d have more sympathy because he will pluck that ball from the sky. But Jota? Use your head Granit ffs.

If Xhaka does this once then you can give him some leeway. But he repeatedly gets sent off and gives away penalties because he loses all composure in those situations. Has let his team down so many fucking times with dumb decisions. Other players could have done more in the build up but he fucking kung fu kicks the twat in the chest, makes it so easy for the ref to send him off. Standard fucking Xhaka.

I think Xhaka has become required reading/studying for VAR officials, how to spot errors and has made himself a target the twat :skull:

Apart from continually getting sent off, wayward passing, a lack of pace, giving away penalties or free kicks from stupid tackles, losing more points for their team than any other PL player, as well as disrespecting the supporters with his stupid, petulant behaviour, what is he actually good at?

He even said in the last transfer window, he doesn’t want to be here and wanted to move to another club so what has he got to do for people to stop defending him?
