Its not his fault that he’s wank. But the fact that he keeps getting picked to play in the first team and not the last 3 mins ( preferably not at all) honestly leaves me flabbergasted.

A bit harsh don’t you think? like saying its his fault he’s slow, or its his fault he’s short. Some people are just born without it (height, speed, intelligence). I am pretty sure he sees himself as a prime Essien but with a much bigger ego and our managers have aided this fantasy. I don’t know what to think honestly. Not sure I’ve seen anything like it.
Our centre midfield is a huge problem and behind a lot of our disjointed play. Poor defensively with Xhaka blunders being top of the list and poor organisation and then providing a poor platform to attack from. Trouble is we don’t look any better when Xhaka is dropped and Granit really isn’t anywhere near a top 4 team standard.
Hope we sell him this January, maybe he’ll do better in a weaker league. Really should’ve been sold last Summer when we should have bought a proper defensive mid.

No one thinks this guy is good but cmon to think he’s not as good as 13-16 Flamini is out of control. Xhaka will go on to play for a decent club when we finally sell him not a one year failed spell at relegation embattled Palace. He’s shit but people are getting way too hyperbolic about him, in reality he’s not that much more shit than Torreira or Willock, they’re all players that are pretty flawed in our set up with a few minor strengths. (Torreira being the one with the most potential)

I agree he’s not the only issue in midfield. The whole midfield unit is weak which is why Xhaka gets a start so often. In spite of his horrible defensive mistakes, he does get around the midfield and he does try to do more than tiny backwards and sideways passes even though too many get misplaced.

Yeah, he definitely is. If we play Torreira in his position he will perform significantly better for us than Xhaka (who actually gets the honour of playing in his position weekly).

He basically started off the moves to at least 2 of the goals, maybe all 3 I wasn’t really paying attention.
Basically every time he has not played false 9, he has done well.
