Granit Xhaka

Yeah me too for having to put up with this dross and I don’t get paid for it.:anguished:

Not sure how relevant Xhaka’s situation is to Eboue’s but what Wenger says is no less interesting.

Wenger on fans booing Eboue

‘I believe, overall, the fans want you to do well,’ said Wenger.

'I think it will be a one-off because it was special circumstances: he was very tired and we were in a nervy situation, only 1-0 up.

'The media stood behind him and that was very positive. That means the fans had gone a bit too far.

‘We do not accept it. We do not want it, but we have to live with it. Without fans you cannot play football. We have to turn the fans in our favour, even if sometimes we say: “You have gone a bit too far and that is not right”.’

Supporters in the Premier League have been swift to voice their unhappiness this season. Liverpool were jeered at Anfield after drawing 0-0 with West Ham despite going top of the table. Chelsea were booed as they suffered only their second league defeat at Stamford Bridge in almost five years when losing to Arsenal.

It sparked debate about the alienation of fans from players at a time when the economy is biting, tickets are expensive and top players earn millions of pounds.

'I don’t think he (Eboue) makes the mistake because he is well paid. I would still have made bad passes if you had multiplied my wages by a hundred.

'I made some good ones as well, don’t forget, but what I mean is that once you are on the pitch it doesn’t matter how much you are paid.

'To win the game you have to take risks and risks mean misses. If you encourage a player just to kick the ball forward when he’s at the back, he will not make many mistakes but his striker will starve of hunger.

‘If you encourage your players to play, they will make mistakes. When they are tired, when they have been out for four or five weeks, you have to accept it.’

I think the reason a lot of players look to Xhaka is because he will give them an easy ride.
We have become a club for players who like doing very little to earn the vast wages they get, and they are on the gravy train.

We don’t have a single player that would have got in the Invincibles side and we also have no players that lead by example and very few that are worthy of a regular first team place.

Compare an emotionally weak player like Xhaka to Adams, Keown, Vieira, Bergkamp, Lauren, Henry, etc.
They are winners, Xhaka is a loser and not fit to wear the shirt.

After hearing Emery say he is sad and upset, it has turned me even more against him, rather than have sympathy for him.

He’d should have apologised straight away and then said I am going to prove I am better than that.
But he chose the cowards way out.
What captain behaves like a petulant child and then cries about it after?

He is a loser and a coward and, if Emery can’t see that and picks him as captain again, he is also a loser and a coward and both need to go.

Door is open. :door::walking_man:

He was pretty impressive in the 2017 cup final vs Chelsea it must be said.

Fuck you Dick… did you pay a visit to Ozil’s house and discuss?

What Xhaka did was wrong, absolutely wrong, no matter what.
I am not asking for any punishment but an apology is definitely needed from him.

If he refused to do so, why are you still giving him the chance?
Or you are begging him to do so, so that you two can keep screwing around?

Fuck you Dick. I said it before, you got problems.

The point has already been made but yeh the football Emery serves up is such trash that the most excited I’ve been for an Arsenal match in years is Wolves on Saturday due to the Xhaka vs fans dynamic. Gonna be lit af :fire::fire::joy::joy:

If Emery had any sense, he would keep Xhaka out of the squad for a couple of weeks, let this die down and then he could select him again with less scrutiny.

What will happen instead is that Xhaka will be captain on the weekend and our fans will jeer the fuck out of him again.

As far as I’m concerned, Emery and Xhaka can both fuck off out the club. Playing Xhaka will contribute to both of their downfalls. Not the worst outcome tbh.

Honestly think the board are the biggest culprits in this position.
There running away and hiding. Think Emery tried to be as diplomatic as he could. Should not of been left to him. Don’t have to be sympathetic to him to realise the board are just being cowardly here.

Yeah he’s mentally challenged if he plays him on the weekend - if he just doesn’t play him for 3-4 weeks everything will start to calm down.

But obviously he doesn’t want bench the guy he’s building the team around and doesn’t want to be seen to be kow-towing to the fans, so he’s the first name on the team sheet next game.

I think he’s at that point playing him again would be a mistake especially at home. The guy hasn’t even come out with a apology for what he did. I won’t be surprised if he’s not played in any of the home games again. And he just plays him away from home lol. it be such a Emery thing to do.

Fucking hell mate, not everything is about Ozil :joy:

Dick took it personal, I am taking it personal also :joy::joy::joy:

I was just kidding…

Ozil or not, Dick has to go.

This is worse than that time Big Weng caught on.

I may call him Dick Weenie later…

I don’t even understand it. Too young I guess.

I don’t see why that would be unpopular. No one wants an apology. They want him benched and then moved on whether he apologizes or not.
